Info:

Engine: Unity 2019.1.4f1. Graphics made in GIMP 2. Sound effects created with sfxr. Music created in online midi creator and modified in Audacity. (first attempt on creating music for jam, me very trashy version of drums inspired by Blue Monday).

Some bugs, ~~I'm not willing to fix~~ ~~I was too lazy to fix~~, I wasn't able to fix:
  1. Spells can be used on dead target.
  2. Mage is often target for some reason.
  3. Wave timer shows -0.01 etc.
  4. Sometimes characters may have screwed rotation pattern.

I always wanted to make a game like this, so huge thumbs up for trying it. That freaking mage and his aggro :) Get's kinda hard after few waves. Very good entry though.

Cool game. I like the idea, just healing, leaving the fighting to the others... Totally in line with the theme

Very unique idea! I really liked it, it gets hard quickly. Brings me back to my days playing MMOs.

A good game !
But i don't know why, but my wizard has been focus each time, so he's died quickly and after him the healer will be focus ... I don't know why there is a warrior (Tank) if he doesn't keep the aggro :smile:
I'm joking, there are some minor bugs, but that doesn't spoil the gaming experience !

Good job !

From a perspective of tank: "Screw those mages and their aggro"
This game gave me nostalgia even tho I never played healer :D
I'd suggest adding mouse over descriptions to spells and more meme things

@listonos @kittennation @bigtinygames Mage aggro is actually a bug I intentionally left in game. There should be only small chance that enemies target someone else than tank. But even when I was testing game before posting here, I realised it was funny to see mage always dead. Thank you for feedback.

@ioan-pop @stefanie-leitch @galgris @james140 Thanks for feedback :) Glad you liked it.

It's a good concept but I think that with a better UI layout would be better since having the stats separately from the characters makes a redundant information displayed in the game. Also It would be nice to have a in-game tutorial to introduce the controls, I have to guess how to perform the spell on the characters.
But it's a good entry! Nice job.

@laura-del-pino Thanks for advice. I still struggle to make games more friendly for players and this kind of feedback motivates me. Really hoping to learn new things with every jam.

This was really well made! Everything was polished, the graphics were nice, the audio was great, each round had a lot of variety, and not to mention that the gameplay itself was great!

But...

I have a rule to play through every game completely. This one took me well over an hour, maybe more. I made it to the 14th or 15th level SEVERAL times, and then lost. I had a lot of fun! But beating that final level took SO much time. At the same, I did enjoy really getting to know how every bit of the mechanics work -- I always enjoy games that actively force you to understand what's happening, rather than just pushing through and hoping for the best. But after those first few rounds, this game gets CRAZY difficult, and the mage dying every 2 seconds didn't help either.

Overall, fantastic job! This was an awesome game and I had fun! Just next time... maybe make it a little easier? ;)

@leroivi thanks for playing

@chaseplays thanks for this huge comment. I always tend to make games too hard, I'm aiming for this very hard/challenging but satisfaying gameplay (something aka dark souls). Ending probably was disappointing, but I hope completing game after hour of tries was somehow rewarding itself. I respect your effort.

@exewin Actually, I thought the ending was pretty funny! Most LD games don't have much at the end, so I was pleasantly surprised. Congrats on getting in the top 100 for theme! That's pretty impressive, especially with so many entrants this time!
