Charming! Love the look of it all! Coincidentally my team and I had a very similar idea!

Nice little puzzle!

I like DIY 3D graphics.

It would be great to go through a few more levels.

Really like the wireframe graphics and fun little puzzle. Could definitely see this being a charming mobile game with more levels and a few more mechanics added in progressively.

Woah, I'm digging the art style! Some more decoration would be nice, but with only 48 hours you made a really cool game!

Thanks for this nice game. Love the simple art style, though some more decoration and levels would be great. Nice gameplay!

@blobo @aligator Thanks! Yeah, I wish I had more time. I was experimenting with some extra items on the map (i.e some tunnel-like thing you go through), but it looked not great so I scraped it. I was planning to make rails go up & downhill a bit, but couldn't figure out how to calculate horizon position, so I scraped that idea either. Well, I glad you still liked it!

This was a nice and relaxing puzzle. The wireframe style fits well. I would have played more levels if available. There were was at least one spot where the two arrows were so close that it was a bit difficult to see which was active. An indicator floating above the track might help message that better. Good work overall!

@irwatts Thank you! I was struggling with those indicators for a while, trying to make them more distinct, but didn't find a quick fix. As I'm writing this, I just realized that instead of fixing indicators, I could layout rails a bit different to make arrows more distinct. Oh well.

I really like the idea and simple wireframe grafics. More levels and things in the environment would have been nice. Overall very good job!

Awesome graphics, this idea could be used for some quite devious puzzles I can imagine, works well as a proof of concept already

I'm impressed with the TIC80 wireframe. It reminds me of the Commodore 64. I had lots of fun playing it and it could grow into a full game which I love finding in these jams. I thought the clicking should just be click anywhere on the screen to activate the next one because it was a bit too picky about where I clicked, or maybe keyboard control. No matter its a great impressive entry. Thanks!

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh.

These wireframe visuals are perfect, that old school flight simulator look never gets old. Or it does, which is precisely why it works? I don't know.

It's a little bit simplistic but the presentation is spot-on and I enjoyed my time with it. Definitely would have liked some PC speaker esque audio but I get it, it's a jam game. Great job!

@flammchen @star-sought @shp @fabdynamic @anchorlight Thank you guys a lot! I'm really glad you liked the looks of it! I'm not an artist at all, so coding something like that was an only option to make somethnig visually appealing :)

great work! the low res art gives it a clear visual style, however, the split track indicators can be quite hard to distinguish until you're very close

I really liked the use of wireframe, and traveling the rails was a really relaxing type of puzzle. Really good job on the theme. Fun entry!

Hey @bootak !

Very nice choice of visuals ! Not only does the wireframe feel solid but you taking the extra step of dealing with render distance and actual 3D rotation for the end object shows you took time to polish it, I'm sure you've been tempted to add more features as you mentionned and would love to come back to it if you ever do !

A little sound feedback would also be a nice plus, but again I'm sure you've thought of that, but hey 48h is never enough !

Congrats on your work !

Feel free to check out my entry and give me your opinion

Cheers

I think I beat it in the shortest possible time on my first try. I wish there was a slightly higher draw distance and more landmarks to orient yourself with. I think you nailed the theme though.

@jelle-vermandere Thank you! Yeah, I was trying to fix those indicators last minute, make them slimmer or something. However, I was so tired of solving trigonometry stuff that I decided to leave it as it is. Probably I should've change rails layout slightly instead. But oh well.

@wevel @arkinrev Thank you! Yeah, I sould've planed to make multimple levels from the beginning, I wish I made a couple more levels.

@guaranteedtrainwreck Hey Damien, thanks for checking out my game! I'm so glad you've noticed all the work I've done to this engine - like render distance and all that! I wish I could make SFX and music!

@blubberquark Thanks! I glad it took you so little time to beat the game! I was afraid that it wouldn't be clear how to play this, so I designed this level as simple as possible. I was experimenting with extra landmarks - like tunnels and stuff, but it turned out to look not great, so I scraped it and planted several trees instead :)

Very skillfully implemented. I'm really impressed that you can get 3d vector graphics going on TIC-80. The basic idea of the game is great but it is pretty much over as soon as it starts. I like the look - it reminded me of some old games. The special camerawork during the opening is a nice touch.

Nice game, impressive to actually do 3d like this. Camera worked real nice too.
Not the most FUN I've had in a game, but still very impressive!
Good job!

Impressive, the 3d rendering looks nice, not an easy task with TIC 80 ! Cool interpretation of the theme too. I think you can upgrade your game with some more levels and some sounds but overall nice game ! Thanks !

Super cool and unique. The bespoke graphics make it it stand out and they look really nice, smooth and are easy to read. The dodecahedron (probably got that wrong sorry) with the camera follow looks great and I liked the added story with him talking, it added that little bit of context that made the whole experience more complete. Yes it was short, but quality > quantity and I finished playing with a smile. Thanks!

I love fantasy-console games like this. It's amazing what you've done with such limited resources. I only wish there were a bit more sound. Even so, this game is impressive. Well done, Sir.

I have conflicted feelings on this game. I found it extremely original, and believe it has potential to be expanded into a legitimate puzzle game with many levels. I was pretty excited to reach the sphere, thinking that I'll be able to play larger levels - but alas, the WIN screen appeared and nothing else. I restarted the game, thinking that perhaps level is generated randomly, but it was still the same. So the game just left me wanting for more. Anyway, this looks like an amazing feat for 48 hours - great job!

I have no idea how difficult it is to program TIC-80, but this reminds me of very early 3d pc games in a good way. The game was over maybe too shortly for me, I don't think I did any loops on my journey. I guess a larger rail network could have gotten confusing quite easily without more landmarks.

I like the concept of a sort of puzzle game on rails. This is my first time hearing about the TIC-80 and it's pretty cool that you made a game on it.

I wanted the game to last a little longer but that is just a minor gripe.

Nice work!

This one surprised me: it was slow but that slowness spoke to the message of the game and the use of the theme. I enjoyed it as much as it frustrated me when I would get caught in a seemingly infinite loop and the simple graphics conveyed a sense of loneliness that went deep. Really cool art game!
