Conservatorio by magus77
this is Conservatorio, the game we made for the LD46 challenge with the theme "Keep it alive".

You are a farmer and need to keep the farm and the plants alive, starting with just 100 goldpieces. You can order materials such as planters, seeds, pesticides and more in the farmhouse. You can also check the weather forcast in the newspaper. Ordered materials will be delivered to the dropzone outside, in the garden. The planters will be installed in the greenhouse. This is where you can plant the seeds.
Make sure to water the plants in time and have some pesticides at hand. You also need to keep an eye out on your energybar and on the time. If plants are matured, make sure to harvest them in time. The harvest may be dropped in the dropzone, it will then automaticly be sold at night.
You can play the game in the browser or download the stand alone client from itch.io In both cases, you can use the links below:

Still, i'm amazed on how you did that in 72h ! Nicely Done !
- I find the walking speed a bit low. I would have loved a “press shift to run” option wink
- The range of the “read newspaper” action was so big I thought I could do something with the oven, which is not the case
- I like the wind effect and the idea of the weather changes ^^
- I didn’t figure out the bed could be used to sleep until next day at first, and only found it eventually, might be good to include it in the newspaper text?
After a few tries I finally understood the neccesary mechanics to make a complete playthrough, it was really fun.
Only issue I had is a bit of flickering with the tilesets when you play the HTML5 version, but the game is pretty damn good for only three days!
screen flickering issues.
gameplay loop is unfun (for me).
I really tried to like this game, but now all I can think of is 'did they actually try to rip off Stardew Valley?'
As for anonymous' comment, we were inspired by harvest moon. A lot of 2d farming games that came out since look like this mother of them all. Our game mechanics are totally different. If you play our game you will immediately experience that.
Didn't ever really catch onto the gameplay, I just liked exploring the world and just picking up and buying objects without knowing what to actually to do with them ;D Could just be my stupidness, so if you wish you can explain to me how to progress in the game, and I would gladly try it again.
Either way it's a really nice entry and I hope to see you bringing more content!
Very well done to the whole team :)
Pretty impressive for 72h. The art is really great, especially the well detailed backgrounds (and the cute dog :p). I wanted to look at everything and tried to interact with basically any background element (I was a bit disappointed with the oven because of the newspaper). ^^
The soundtrack is good as well, it puts you into the mood . SFX are good, I just found the step sound a bit too lengthy / loud.
Anyway, great job! It's a nice "little" zen game.
