Nice game for a first one, usually people struggle to finish something, so congrats. The art is really nice...

Congrats for your first game jam ! I liked the idea of the time travel, that's a pretty big thing to tackle on. Although it could be improved with animations and more readable textbox, that's a good first ^^

Congratulations on submitting for you first game jam! I think one thing that could make the game feel better would be better collision checking as to improve how the character interacts with the world.
Wish I could pet the cat!

That's awesome that you were able to finish!! It's a hard task especially if it's your first. More audio!! And bigger font maybe and the game will feel much better in my opinion

It sure lacks a bit of animation and sounds, but the story is here, it's playable and the theme is here for sure !

good job on making your first jam entry. it's interesting game, the textbox should be more clear about who is talking and then my mouse got stuck at the center of screen after i got an ending, but otherwise good. keep up the good work and good luck in future entries

Congrats for your first jam.
I saw you used Unity, two things about collision, you can make a lower collision for your character, with only covering lower parts of your body, that give the impression that you can stand next to object and that object can pass through you, and second, you can make collider on empty gameobject and duplicate (ctrl+D) it so you can quickly put many collider over your scene for object of the same size. Going through object give a feel of unfinished game.

Overall, i like the idea.

This was probably too ambitious of an idea for your first jam, I found tons of bugs and weird behavior... When the character collides with stuff he twitches a lot, if you press E fast enough on the cutscenes some text boxes will be skipped, after you go back to the menu your mouse is locked in the center, and for some reason my second time playing I got a good end before the buyer appeared in the house. It was a cool idea, I'd just recommend dialing down the ambition next time.

I agree with much of what others said. This is a very nice first entry and you should be proud of what you made.

It was a little confusing to figure out who was saying what during the ending. I wasn't sure what I was saying vs what the guy was saying.

The art looked nice, but you should try to have all the assets match up in perspective next time. Here's a site that does a decent job of explaining the basics. https://trembelingart.com/what-perspective-art-beginners/

Nicely done! Next time get some music in there!

It is an interesting little experience, though it's more of a visual story. Sound would have been nice. Overall neat.
