Have you ever wanted to walk around in a forest filled with starving wolves at night? Well this game is made for you! In A Gleam in the Dark you will have to cross the forest with a torch lighting up campfires and other stuff to protect yourself from predators. Great audio and take on the theme! One suggestion I have is to slow the enemy down and give the player some health points, the first time I encountered the enemy gave me an abrupt end.

The art is lovely, the sound is quite good. I'd love health points or a similar system (like you only die if you are twice consecutively, for example).

Great take on the theme, and good all rounder. A nice short but well rounded experience.

A few notes, I played the web build, it seemed quite difficult to click on the wood and campfires, not sure if thats a build issue or a clickspot issue, it resulted in me dying a few times because I couldn't light a campfire and my torch ran out.

Once you hit the halfway point I guess the map feels a lot more open but I don't feel im going the right way as I run out of wood to pick up or fires to light, it becomes this dash to the house at the end.

Still a very good enjoyable game. Well done.

@rirdeg thanks for the feedback, you have to stanb on the wood to pick it up, maybe it's not very obvious :/

Cool atmosphere and take on the theme and the artstile is cool too. The abrupt ending when you touch a wolf is kind of irritating though.

Really nice game and take on the theme. The art style is cool, especially the enemy character design, it scared me for the first time seeing it come towards me!!!

Good game. Controls are responsive and graphics and audio are also at good level. The only problem I see is that once you've been spotted is almost impossible to survive as you get killed with only one hit.

Im not sure I found an exploit. if I turn to the wolves they run away, so I just walked back to the end of the level.

I really enjoyed this game. Great graphics with great effects, mystery in the darkness sets a special mood. What I would consider adding is some more audio (for example for the wolves) and reworking the graphics - this painting style is picturesque but visible done in a hurry

@haro-games hey, yeah, but my torch was out. I may have accidentally glitched it cause I was a bit lost with the controls.

An interesting concept with a fascinating soundtrack, but there are drawbacks. In my opinion, the plot is not disclosed: it begins well, but ends too suddenly at some unknown stage. I also didn't like the torch fading too quickly, but it's true, a quibble ;)
I think it would be even cooler if you added the sound of monsters, because they feel like cardboard))

Really nice entry, and I especially love the tension when you know that the light is going to die, and you don´t know if you´ll be able to make it to the fire. Good stuff, great job!
