Lux by D-Lord

[raw]
made by D-Lord for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

In a world of darkness there is one single light beam flying around.

Your goal is to not let the light beam escape by using four mirrors and letting it reflect around a loop.

But there is one catch. The controls for the mirrors do not work that well and can be bearly controlled. Even if you manage to tame these malfunctioning mirrors you can only control all four mirrors at the time.

Try to capture the light beam as long as possible inside the loop and go for the high score.

Controls: Up/Down arrow keys. These keys move the top two mirrors up and down. The bottom two will move in an inverted manner.

Hi.
I liked the mood of your game. It played well, and was a pretty nice concept!
One thing to add probably, would be a backing track. This would make the game seem a lot more whole, and give it that final polish.

Great game though! I enjoyed playing it!

(p.s, as an afterthought, perhaps a little animation to change the colours of the paddles? Just a thought!)

Interesting take on the theme! The controls were a little bit confusing at first, but they got a lot easier the more I played.

Definitely fits the theme well! The game is surprisingly difficult for its simplicity.

My highest score was 25, though I think I missed it because I couldn't move the mirror far enough.

The idea is simple and interesting, but the controls feels a bit random. But overall a fine little jam game. It could perhaps have used some music.

Nice game! I liked the added challenge of controlling uncooperative mirrors - it made the relatively simple looking game more interesting. I managed to reach a score of 14 after quite a few times. It would have been nice having a high-score display, but other than that, great entry!

Good to see other Godot users :D your game is very hard tho, and literally stuck in a loop, good job

Cool game, pretty difficult as the mirrors on top of each other have a really small distance and doesnt give you a chance to notice how the controls changed. Well done though, still enjoyed
