Hey, cool game ! I used a similar concept of light/shadow for my entry, feel free to check it out !
The animation is cute and I enjoyed the rythm (die and retry with short levels), well done !

I don't know why, but when the first level with the "zig zag" pattern path came along, I thought it was a downward slope and I just ran straight into the pit. :D

I liked it up until I got to the diagonal platforms, they felt weird to navigate and it was not fun. Graphics are really good. I got confused sometimes with the way the light lined up, but it was alright once i got it.
Good entry, hope to see more.

amazing interpretation of the theme. I found the levels fun, yet challenging. Overall, just a really good, well polished game

Really, really cool game !
Perfect.
Graphically it's simple but polished as it should be, the gameplay is simple and intuitive.
The idea to manage the shadow of the flower is genious

Congrats

Really liked the game, it was kind of hard to control using the arrow keys over the zig zags.

Thanks for playing everybody!

@millhow yeah, it's easier with a controller, but if you inch forward slowly keyboard works too

@pronomicalartist Agree, the diagonals are not the best. It helps to look at the flower's shadow rather than the character. Of course on some stages you have to look at both

Maybe that's just me but some levels were way too hard on keyboard. I think walk button would be helpful. Anyway I liked everything else about your game!

Pretty cool game ! I realized we could use the character's shadow get the flower in the light after 8 levels...
I think the whole game could be better with a slower character while keyboards input are really hard to manage on some levels. Great job anyway !

The levels were challenging, especially on those with the narrow pathways but enjoyed it nonetheless. Really innovative way to tackle the mechanic, love it.

Nice game, but the perspective of the light made difficult to know when the flower is safe. And your character is really cute :)

This is a very well made and interesting little game. The music, graphics and animations is all pretty good. The controls is overall okay, but not the best for zigzag walks. So this is overall a good jam game. Well done.

Wow, that's a hard one. I like the concept, but the controls are not that great, so on late stages, it's really hard to maintain these zigzag movements. But overall the game is great and the idea is nice. Good job!

I really adore the way this game looks - the player character in particular, but the lighting effects are also really nice. The controls, though, were a little hard to get used to - namely, the character moves way too fast for some of the areas where you need fine control. Also, since the light was shining at an angle, it felt hard to judge where the flower actually needed to be in relation to the light squared I could see on the ground. Light shining straight down would be a lot less interesting, but it might be easier to read as a player.
Still, really enjoyed, good work!

Really slick and polished entry in terms of audio and visuals. The gameplay idea is prettytight too, but like some other commenters mentioned, I felt it suffered when it got to the zigzaggy stages. I found it hard to get past the zigzag stages which were fully lit, and I stopped playing at the second not-fully-lit diagonal stage (with the curves) after about 10 or 15 tries, I just couldn't do it.

I also tried getting out a gamepad, but that led to an odd bug where the player wouldn't stop moving (slightly). Maybe you need a bigger dead zone?

I'm not sure if it was intended to be so hard, but a possible solution that came to mind would be to use a grid system instead of free movement. That way you feel less like you're walking a tightrope made of ice, so you can focus more on following the light. Alternatively, focusing on more of a puzzle aspect could be good too (IE, you need to figure out *how* to get across, but once you do, it's easy to actually do it).

Anyway, despite my criticisms, it was interesting enough for me to want to write that wall of text :D Nice submission overall!
