FarmerDude is a modern clone of the classic Arkanoid game. Defend your farm from monsters! Use all the weapons you have and unlock different heroes!
FarmerDude is a project that Alfie worked on it long time ago. He did all the game design and the art in 2017 but he found no one to develop it.
I wanted to participate to LD47 like the old times. Alfie told me about this project and I thought "Mhm... I can develop it in 72h". And I was wrong! But at last we have a base of the game working.
I will continue working on the game, finish all the features, add all the skills, all the items, the shop, finish to add all the heroes and also all the gadget and we will release it on Android and iOS.
Thanks ludum dare! It was a great kick for me. A very big motivation to work a lot on this project.

That being said, it's clear that this game doesn't have much to do with the theme 😅
1. This game is absolutely amazing and filled with tons of features (for a mobile game, less for pc)
2. As a gamedev, I must say that I'm having hard time to believe this game was completely made during the jam.. feels like it was made before (got a little to do with the theme as well)
Anyway - good job!!
As you see from the vote system of the game I have taken out Graphics because as you have imagine the art was not done during this LD :smile: But many years ago!
All the code was done in the 72h in unity from scrath :smile:
In its current state, admittedly, I find the game really difficult. It got to a point where I felt like the enemies had so much health that there would be no way for me to beat it no matter how hard I tried! But of course, this might just be because I'm not that good at these kinds of games. :p Making the difficulty curve more balanced might be a good idea in order to ease players like me into the game a bit more. But if difficulty is what you're aiming for, you've definitely hit the mark!
I do agree with the above commenters that the connection to the *theme* feels quite loose, but of course, it isn't a requirement. Overall, there's definitely promise in the concept here, but I'd like to see it developed further to make it more interesting. But still, well done! :smiley:
There will be passive skills that every hero will have different and active skills that are the same for everyone but you need to unlock them. They will help you a lot in the game.
Also after X waves you will "win" and unlock a second stage :D
