Ludum Deathray by Alphish
UPDATE 22.12.2015 (finally something):
- added some sort of help tab (the top one from the left side menu); in future, it will become a "Thoughts" tab and will be progressively updated as new characters are added
- added some basic help, along with a troublesome implementation-wise but hopefully cool formatting (the help is from the perspective of monopolist character, by the way; each character is supposed to have different help)
- did a few other minor tweaks
- still very unfinished
And there I thought Christmas holiday was supposed to be the time of rest, not overly time-consuming preparations... ^^"

My very unfinished management game. It seems I've got a bit bigger idea than I initially thought.
The general plot is: the Ludum Dare 34K is carried out and some participants want to wipe out the competition using modified broadcast satellite on artificial planet aptly called Ludum Darena, so it's pretty generic story, as you can see.
Originally you were supposed to develop the game and advance works on titular Ludum Deathray, but instead I only implemented some sort of facilities building and energy management. Not included: sleeping/procrastinating, prolonged tasks that offer opportunity for tricky resource management challenges, time limit and actual ending. Also, a bunch of variations about LD unofficial soundtrack. ^^"
No, I'm not yet happy with how the game works so far. Yes, I do plan to expand upon it in the following days. Possibly with HTML5 version as well, if it won't turn out to be too buggy.

- if you judge, please do so for the Jam version (as it's fairer for everybody)
- if you comment, please do so for the post-Jam version (as the feedback is most useful for the latest state of the game)

As for the problem with building: I think it might be because of insufficient power. Generally, each facility construction process requires specific amount of power to be provided for specific time. You can track that time in the power management tab (second last one), as well as manipulate the priorities to allow the construction to progress in the first place.
Oh, and don't forget to click UPDATE button after you're done with energy management, either! ^^"
