Solid game! Felt super satisfying to kill multiple enemies with the pike. Did not expect a boss fight at the end, was pretty fun. Kept me playing till the end mainly because of the sound effect when you kill like 5 enemies at once haha.

Some criticism would be that the AI for the boss is pretty unfair, since he has so much health and when it reaches phase 2, he can basically corner you with bullets and you are forced to run into a bunch of them.

Was a good bullet hell. The Boss did so much damage! I would have liked the Health Bars were bigger and easier to read

Nice job on the game! There were a lot of enemy types which was impressive. I would like to be able to attack while holding the watering can. I'd run into it without realizing it, leaving me defenseless until I found the exit. Larger healthbars would be nice. I wasn't sure that the healthbar was a healthbar until after dying on my first playthrough then intentionally taking damage to see if the bar went down.

A really solid submission! I was especially impressed by the sprite change, and MUSIC change for the following stages. I actually think you could have been a little less forgiving with the player hp values in the levels leading up to the boss, as surviving those levels was fairly easy with constant movement. The boss fight was some nice contrast to this though, and reaching the end was genuinely challenging. Really nice stuff!

Very nice game, but i think that mobs are kinda harmless. You should put some work into the balance

I like the idea but i found it really difficult. As soon as it loads you are almost instantly ambushed with enemies, i think they move a little too fast. I could not figure out how to use the sword or pike so ended up just running to find the end as quickly as possible and then rushing to find the dirt. I feel like if you introduced everything a little more gradually itd be easier to understand. Good job!

@louiejams yes I feel as well I could have introduced the mechanics a better way. Thank you for your feedback!

Great game! I really liked the design of the player, and it feels so satisfying to me to stab with the pike. It took me a bit of time to realize how to attack, and its annoying sometimes when I accidentally pick up the watering can when I'm not ready. Maybe have a button to specifically pick them up? Other than that though, really well done!

Nice Game, Cool mechanics I like the Innovation, the Puzzles were amazing except for 1_3 it Kind of felt too easy having the plant near me, The audio fits well with the theme and I like the variation of enemies, not forgetting that it's all a solo effort, Great Job!

The music is nice. Maybe you can decrease the amount of enemies a bit, because now it is quite overwhelming (even though they don't do much damage). Perhaps you can also mention somewhere that the player has to get the watering can and bring it to the patch of dirt.

Well done! I really liked the enemy designs and having to switch between fighting & exploring, then running with the watering can while defenseless. I also enjoyed using the sword to block the shots.

@eoshadows I apologize for the generation of level 1-3, the game is randomly generated, and I feel there is always room to make the generation better. Thank you for your feed back, it is always appreciated!

I didn’t say anything about the level - it seemed fine to me. In fact it’s really cool that they were all randomly generated. Perhaps you meant this for @wassim?

Awesome Job! I don't think I was taking any damage from the enemies, And it wasn't clear if i had won or not. Overall I loved the generated levels and had tons of fun playing it!

Cool game! I think there might be a bit of a bug with the enemy damage, especially at the beginning. Still a fun game though, lots of enemy and level variety

Really satisfying game play. One thing that might help in generating early levels would be to limit map size so beginners can practice finding everything a couple of times. Nice mechanics otherwise. Great job!

Hah I finished the game! Not usual for me for this type of game. I did not fight any of the creatures until the last level though, I forgot what the controls for that were. :D
Just running around and dodging was fun enough tho, and the endboss was not too imposible.

Thing to improve would be clearer visuals to know when the player gets hit (sprite flash?) and perhaps an enemy with a slightly different moveset.

Nicely done!

The controls felt a bit unintuitive, but it's a fun idea.

Its a fun idea but the game became more of a maze than a bullet hell. The problem is that holding the can of water makes you unable to fight and most enemies do to little or too much damage for you to do anything but dodge or take the hit.

Really good! I had a fun time. Fresh concept, at least I haven't played something like this in this jam before. Liked the automatically generated labyrinths and the fighting system was supringsily satisfying. I exclusively used the spear because I found it to be more fun than the sword. The art a little flakey. The sprites and animations looked really good, but the levels themselves were a bit bland. But I guess that comes down to the random nature of it. The music was a nice addiation and the sound effects worked. Though, they don't sound as polished and high quality as the asset art.

The only issue I have is with the game play balance. It seemed that my character was invincible. I could just pick up the water container and just run through all enemies until I found the target patch. My first impression was, that the enemies were a little too aggressive and many in numbers, but after I found out they all die after one hit and don't really do any damage, that thought was thrown out the window.

Nice touch to have a different tile map on the later stages, but since the core mechanics didn't really change, I lost interest upon finishing the first level of world 2. Still,a very pleasent experience. The fighting was my highlight :) Spears ftw!
