TEORT - The Escape of Rabbit Teort by Jan

[raw]
made by Jan for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

LD47 TEORT.png

This is our 3rd published game for the Ludum Dare Game Jam working as a team. TEORT - The Escape of Rabbit Teort was made by Jan, Ina & Lin.

We had a blast creating the game and working on the graphics.

Initially, we wanted to make a Jump & Run Platformer but it's closer to a timed jumping game and heavier on the story side. We also did some experimentation with randomly combined music.

The game comes as a Java JAR file.

Controls - Space, Shift and D for most actions (available controls shown in the top right corner)

I really like the art for this game. It was a creative idea, and I thought it was kinda funny! Thanks for submitting :)

This was surprisingly fun. The music really kept things moving through the circus phase, and the forest art was very pretty. Happy to have found my rabbit family at the end. Great work :)

Cute art style and the music created some tension by the end of the first phase. However in the second part there wasn't much of a gameplay. Cool little game anyways :)

Very cute little game, I really like the artstyle and its very cool that you added those sound effects. However it is a little slow at the end and collision box of carrot is wierd I think.

To be honest it was the loop in the title which got me interested and I'm glad it did. The art style was a good choice and the bright colours kept it cheerful, even as I kept headbutting some of the obstacles due to my poorly timed jumps.
The music was a little jarring to me in the circus, not sure if it was intentional or not (as you said did some experimentation with the music) but I wanted out of there to escape it. The forest was nice and peaceful in comparison leading me to think it was intentional.
