I also liked the effect of going back in time, although when it goes back quite far several times it becomes a bit frustrating :)
Not sure I can appreciate the subtle rick rolling after my amazing victory just because of the game's name being similar to the song name but I get it :P
Controls are easy to understand and smooth, thanks for the hints.
The map is a good point too. Visually, one of my favorites on the Jam.

The effect of dying and retrying was very well executed, putting the loop theme into a creative use. I was not sure what determined how long I'd be driven back after a death though. Some deaths just made me retreat a bit while another one at the boss sent me back a looooon way, all the way to the vendor. It was a bit weird in that aspect, but otherwise, I had a blast!
Loved it! This is one of the most impactful games of the jam I've seen to date! 🐳
Mechanic wise, I think dying once player was being hit is a bit too harsh. Depth can't be properly identified for 2d pixel characters, so it's hard to tell when a enemy will collide with me. The final boss' mechanic is too simple, the time-rewind penalty too strong, which is a bit of let down.
Overall this is a really solid entry! Great job!
Gameplay is fun and I like the progression of using gold for abilities, feels very rewarding.
