Arctik Panik is a cute and cartoony platformer. Help Banzaï, the frosty-jetpack-equiped penguin, to keep the ice floe alive. But how ?! By gathering the missing ice cubes, of course ! But be careful, for your time is limited. The ice is melting and cracking. Fortunately, your super powers abilities, flying and gliding (with a jetpack), will help you win this battle against the global warming !

--- French--- Arctik Panik est un jeu de plateforme où vous incarnez un pingouin équipé d’un jetpack. Votre mission ? Garder la banquise à flot en rassemblant les morceaux de banquise qui s’en sont détachés. Mais attention, le temps vous est compté. La fonte des glaces progresse et vous devez être plus rapide qu’elle ! Votre maîtrise du ventriglisse et vos compétences de pilote sont vos atouts pour réussir ce contre-la-montre.

That was a nice idea, with some good interfaces, but the gameplay felt short and not really rewarding

Also I played with the xbox controller and I couldn't get used to the view y axis inverted, maybe let the option to the player ?

models and interfaces are awesome and feels good to play, but it's really short which i believe is fine for the jam, nice game, well done!

Very uncommon game ! The concept was original ^^ Maybe improve the light and shadows but good 3d models well done !

Not gonna lie: I've looked at the splash screen, the general art direction and the name and was already liking it!

The art looks good and the music is nice. I can confirm that it does work with a PS4 controller (using DS4), but the camera just spins around indefinitely with no user input. Everything else seems to work just fine. Though, I don't understand why you only implemented controller support. Most start with keyboard controls and then add controller support later on. It's a bit like asking a console player to plug in a keyboard.

I found the gameplay slightly dull so I went to go for a penguin Space program instead.
I really like the art, it is very well done. Unfortunately the animations stopped working after a while.
Overall a cute little entry

I tried to play it with keyboard but i could not find the key to start the game. luckily i could switch to my xbox controller and play the game to the end. :D
nice game with a cute character, i like penguins! the idea to mount the floes is great.
the controls could be improved in order to make the movement more fun.

Don't have Xbox controller or PC but watched the vid and this looks really impressive. Great work! Love the music as well

This game was pleasantly surprising! I feel like the concept of expanding your island could really be the base of something here, were new island chunks bring something extra to the gameplay.
Bug encountered: I realized you could exploit island movement when tapping the jetpack button.
Laughed when I died to falling damage

First of all i love the model of pinguin!
The idea is interesting. Why there isn't pc controls?
Anyway nice graphics, music is in communion with everything.
Controls are a bit clunky, imho. And shadows are too black.

But is a good job overall. :sunglasses:

Really liked the simplicity of it, the goal is straightforward, contextual UI is very handy and yet unobstrusive which allow us to fully enjoy the gameplay. Would have loved to gradually see through our progression new creative ways to achieve the iceberg reunification. Very nice entry :)

Love your artstyle! Unfortunately could not play game because i do not have Xbox Controller. Only Dualshock 4 and it does not work correctly. :(
