"Used to it." by TheAidency
"Used to it." is a game stemming from my personal experiences as a shut-in. Since the theme was "stuck in a loop", I decided to distill down how it can often feel.
WASD to move, E to interact. Esc to leave the game directly to Windows. For the best effect, play the game slowly, doing one thing at a time, waiting for each text box to end.
Mental health is a serious topic. If you or a loved one needs specific attention, I strongly encourage you to reach out to a mental health helpline, a trusted person, anyone.

You did great on expressing your feelings throughout the story and I'm looking forward to see
this story unfold if you want to roll with the idea! :)
I decided to go all-in on mood in this one, pouring out pretty much all that I'd been going through for a good part of my life. I'm glad I'm in a better place now. :)
I would love to see an extended version of this, with more actions to do and a more elaborate story with multiple endings. This is an important topic to explore.
Great job!
Albeit a bit more superficially, my game explores a similar topic, with a similar text-narration mechanic. I couldn't help but smile as I read your warning to "play the game slowly, doing one thing at a time, waiting for each text box to end", as I've struggled with the same technical issue :) So that already piqued my interest, but then I became intrigued upon seeing that atmospheric screenshot, and I'm very glad I didn't pass on trying this game.
Though, I didn't hear any music, I would think the game had no music if I didn't read the comments.
It kind of reminds me of an old psychological horror game I made, "Self". It was about a man who built an underground jail for himself and harmed himself. He was trying to get out just because he wasn't sent food anymore. I can leave its link if it interests you.
Yeah the music levels were definitely messed up. I'd love to play your game!
