Farm Villains by Kryndir

[raw]
made by Kryndir for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

An isometric maze game where you play as a cow attempting to evade the farmers by carefully moving through obstacles, to get back to your barn!

Use WASD to move (one square at a time). Walk into the barn to move to the next level!

Developer's Note: Please be aware that many of the game's functionalities ended up unfinished during this dare. However, graphics (courtesy of team member @Aria) were all done from scratch and I believe those are worthy of being seen, so please be kind in any comments you leave below. Thank you so much for checking out our game and good luck to everyone participating!

I like the isometric view, our game also got it!
The idea is very nice, the graphics are nice. It could have used some kind of SFX or ambient music.
In levels 2 and 3 I'm able to pass through all the colliders and go right into the barn.
Nice idea overall, congrats!

Don't know if it was intended, but that was fun in the same way skate 3 was fun. The bugs and the shaking of the cow made for a memorable experience. Honestly quite enjoyed it. With the bugs polished, it would still be a pretty cool game.

Great concept and love the style! Like others have mentioned, the colliders tend to break and you're able to fly over the fences. On level 1 my cow flew off the edge of the screen.

I liked the artstyle of it but I could not find anything to relate it to the game jam theme. Also I beat it by just going over most fences, I think you did not intend the collisions to be so buggy. Good submission nevertheless :)

@bottini @oshawatt123 @marinee @elbapotsnugg @daitli @pedrocoden Thank you all so much for your comments! I had a lot of issues getting the colliders to even barely function this time around (my first real foray into 2D, as you can probably tell...) but I just wanted to make sure my teammate's art was noticed despite my programmatic shortcomings. We really appreciate the kind words and feedback! Thanks again so much!
