9Lives by Tec

Hard morning for this man, looking at his difficulties descending the stairs without suddenly breaking his neck. “It’s this stair fault” he said shamefully. But it was without taking into account the empty gaze of his moronic cat in front of his corpse, which gave him an idea: why not exchange one of his pet’s nine lives for his own from the god of cats? The god’s housing being at the top of a volcano, this trip is going to be full of peril ; but keeping this debilitated cat alive until the top may be even harder...
Through the master’s specter which is no longer able to directly interact with his animal, you will have to guide him on the dangerous roads of the volcano armed with a horn, dried cat food, and a vacuum cleaner. Be careful however, the cat moves alone and is not aware of the risks of falling. Will you be able to keep the animal alive, allowing the owner to resuscitate ? The god of cats challenges you !

All in all, great job. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you in the next Dare!
I enjoyed coaxing the cat around, but it did get a bit too difficult for me around level 4. Level 3 was a huge spike, once you took off the railings the cat would wander off the edge. I didn't really have time to play with the mechanics at that point.
With some more relaxed level design, this could be a great game!
btw sidenote i also made a game about abusing cats so respect :fist_tone1:
I think perhaps you could have the camera zoomed out a little, so when the kitty is scared by the vacuum you can see where he runs off to as that is a little manic at the moment! I agree a brief tutorial would also be beneficial to gameplay.

The art was very enjoyable though I would have loved to have a few animations on the main character and/or the cat (since they both were the main gameplay characters).
I think there is still a bit more work to do on the controls, making them more responsive and tight.
Good jam entry and hope you guys had fun making this game !
I found the text kind of hard to read on the web version.
I had some problems in the third level to get the cat jumps lined up correctly. I thought I was standing right behind the cat but then it jumped at an angle and always fell to it's death. That was a but frustrating, especially because you have to tediously get it back to the spot again, only to fluke the jump... again.
All in all, well thought out game with cool unique mechanics. Awesome!
Congrats on pulling a game out with this much people!
