I really like how you make the fire bigger which lets you get wood that's further back to slowly increase the campfire. Took me a while to realize that you can use the fire to kill the enemies, before that I thought that I must be really bad. But overall, I still really enjoyed the game :)

Solid Game, Visually superb, I liked how simple the style was. Gameplay was good, didn't realize that the creatures would burn, so I died the first few times. Great Atmosphere and Models. Good Job!

@inventivum-games What GPU do you have? Could be a bug :( This engine is new and I have only tested in a fancy nvidia card and a macbook with a Radeon 455

You did a great job at making the game's graphics very unsettling. The found footage effect over the screen is fantastic, and even though the graphics were simple I found myself frantically looking around for the next enemy. The only thing that I think would elevate the mood further would be some background ambience! Great work on the game :)

This was a fantastic idea! I love the simple gameplay loop of needing to simultaneously stay close to the fire for protection but go farther and farther out to keep it going. I died with only one enemy left :( hahah. Graphics and audio worked well to convey the idea- I think that if the enemies had glowing eyes or something like that it would be have made the late stages of the game a little easier. I was forced to venture far out into the darkness pretty much blindly. But of course there's only so much you can do in 48 hours- great job!

Lack of music seriorusly killed the mood, the audio was also lack luster with the swinging sound being very odd. Now for the pros, overall, great looking game, really loved the graphics and look in general, which saves the mood somewhat. The concept is very good as well, although similar to others by far executing it much better, I love the axe being your weapon and also your method of gathering resources for the tree, and fighting off headless turkeys was a great touch! Overall a superb game!

It's a great idea. Batch files are sketch imo though that doesn't really matter if your publishing it to a store. I would rather have the camera focused on the player or maybe just less offset. The player moves much slower than the animation. I think it'd feel nicer if the player was also faster (game acted weird when I first opened it so it could be a bug?). The graphics are amazing. Audio is fine in my opinion. Though, like how other commenters pointed out, some ambient music would be nice.

Very nice game, I made a game so similar that I feel biased
I think that elevating the camera a little would make things easier to see. Very nice game.

It took a long time to load on my PC and then just didn't update the screen till I maximised. Once I did maximise I discovered I was already at 20% health as it had been playing for a little while already.

Once it actually worked it was a fun game and an interesting idea. Possible could do with some way of recovering and finding wood if the fire has gone down so far that you can't see any trees. Maybe a torch that can be used to give you enough light to get to a single tree and can be lit from the fire. You could have a small number of them to use when needed.

Really cool and eerie atmosphere, took me while to realize the enemies could die if they touched the fire though ^^" Nice job!
