Cool game guys. Graphics were really good. Reminded me of old Pokemon games. You should include controls/instructions in your submission so it'll be easier for people to figure out how to play. I couldn't figure out how to get past certain obstacles, so I kind of got stuck at one point. Also I had to install GameMaker or whatever to run your game. That might just be what game maker requires but I doubt it. Great job though!

The graphics looked good, and the sounds were nice. The theme was also well implemented

Gameplay got repetitive rather quickly though, and the turning was a bit finiky (kept over shooting).

Graphics and music are very good. As @kyle-bowman said, maybe include the controls/instructions somewhere.

@kyle-bowman @mateusgauto Good call, added some instructions to itch.io and loaded up the zip file so you don't have to install garbage software. Thanks for the suggestions!

The island was pretty big! Got kinda lost a little navigating it, maybe a minimap would fix that. Also, like the other players mentioned, some instructions wouldn't be bad.

Other than that though, not bad, the music was pretty nice

The graphics were well done in this game, and I think you executed this game concept really well! Theme was on point!!

What a huge map! The island looks good but I had some problems to figure out where I can pass the trees or not. The start was really hard to read, because it was so dark. What should happen when I press space? I kind of got stuck in it and didn't know what to do.

Pretty good, graphics-wise. The dog sprite is quite cute! Although the lighting effect seemed a bit off - I could barely see the intro sequence / main menu (super dark), and it looked a bit odd when the game started properly.

Cool game. As a fan of the "stranded on a deserted island" genre i just had to play this. Reminded me a little of the Lost in Blue series where you also had to account for "how far you can go". Space button can be tricky and later in the game the space menu might not render so you'll not know if you'll accidentally quit the game. Overall a good game. Woof Woof! :)

Fun game. The intro sequence was really dark which made it harder to read. I accidentally quit out of the game once so i had to start over. After starting over i didnt really want to wait through the intro again. Im glad i did though, pretty cool little game, good job.

The dog's helmet added a free star in mood! :P Nice guitar jam too <3
Cute game, had some problems with the UI popping offscreen

Hitting space to open the menu was annoying at first. This reminded me of some old dos games I used to play. Had a good time but ran out of food before I realized I had to go off the main island to get the digging claws and then the poor boy starved to death.

Thank you everyone for the feedback!!! We've released a version with suggested bug fixes. The opening sequence has been lighten up and the pause menu now appears on screen when you press space.

Cute graphics and nice idea!
I found the intro text a bit difficult to read, it was a bit dark. The map is huge and it is easy to get lost!

Cute little metroidvania. The music is very peaceful. Sounds like the dog says "I'm full" whenever he picks something up.

It wasn't always clear where to go or even that I needed an upgrade for some things. Some foods were not counting as food, so it got close at the end. The stuff in the ocean wasn't counting and some mushrooms I think. I wasn't sure if it was key items giving me upgrades or if it was certain amounts of food at first, so I ended up giving the kid way too much food, that and it being hard to tell how many points of food I actually needed to feed him made managing food a little tough.

Cute ending! (I guess they were prescription sunglasses)

I really like the sense of progression this game fosters. I felt like everytime that I returned to the camp site I was given some new way to explore either by my own curiosity or the equipment given. Getting the life jacket was especially really cool because discovering that there were other islands was a treat.

Maybe going forward a small tutorial would be helpful. I just kind of "lucked" my way into figuring out that I could move boulders. Also it took me a minute to get started on the menu screen.

Great job overall.

This is overall a fun and very well made game. I both like the music and the visual style. Okay there are some bugs, but it is not a big issue. This is actually a really good jam game. Well done.

I got lost... Maybe a map to show were your little boy is might help. I picked random things hoping i could get an upgrade, knowing what to pick and what to except would also be nice. But the art is nice, it's a nice game overall. Well done.
