Keep Math Alive by BrotherByto

[raw]
made by BrotherByto for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

I didn't have much time, so i decided to join the jam this time. I used the code of another game i recently released as the base for my game. You can find it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.brotherbyto.spiders

I decided to go for a somehow educational game during corona crisis. Nevertheless it turned out to feel very much like an arcade game.

I'd be glad if you check out my games.

KEEP MATH ALIVE!

Edit: Since voting is over, i changed the download link to the post-jam version of the game.

Note: Download link works best, when opened in the play store app.

Nice game but was this created during Ludum Dare as on Google Play it has 16th of April set as last update date? :) Nevertheless, it's a nice game ;)

@martintale The game on Google Play was made earlier. The game on itch.io is the one for the jam.

Cool concept! Really keeps you on edge. The music is also very fitting for the school-ish theme you are going for. Very well done!

I saw math in the title, of course I was going to click!

Simple game, but entertaining nonetheless! It was nice having to think "What should I do to get to the target" and having to find what I needed!

i like it!

It's a great game and also a good opportunity to get some variety to all those shooters and jump'n'runs around here. Great Job.

The speed is _just_ right that I want to keep playing, and I got the feeling that I _could_ keep playing indefinitely (I gave up on purpose in my runs) ... on the other hand it feels _very_ repetitive, leading to the familiar 'I'm not having fun anymore I really should stop playing' feeling, while continuing the game.

I question the choice to put an ad there in the jam version. What does it add for reviewers?

I appreciate that the scoring is just based on time, not on the number of numbers, which incentives play like '+5 then -2' instead of just hoping for a +3 (which isn't there, but you get the idea).
