Go on a short penguiny adventure, with a gun! What is that voice talking to you?

This game's got it all! c.png spidy spiders a.png purply skies d.png and of course spooky pictures!

I'm using the godot engine, sound and music made with sfxr and WolframTones respectively.

Cool game. Good thing there were check points because I died a lot. The penguin did move a little too fast for my taste but I did enjoy the cutscenes. Good job.

I loved all the pictures! I think they moved a bit too quickly though, especially when you die. The delayed explosion on bullets took me a minute to get but I thought it was a cool mechanic. Nice job!

I loved the artwork, however the penguin just goes way too fast!

I managed to just speed through the entire game eventually. I would have liked to see more challenges and mobs put in.

Impressively large level for a short jam. Really liked the variety of graphics for the cutsenes and different text / story prompts. The "bullets" are more like grenades -- they don't do any damage until they explode -- which is a cool twist. Controls were a little rough, but overall a well done, enjoyable effort!

Nice short game...what's not to like?! It has a penguin with a GUN! :gun::penguin:

Anyway, I really liked the art and the cutscenes. The music and story is also decent. The controls is kinda iffy, because the penguin moves too fast (possibly due to not considering frame rates in the code?). All in all, good work!

Good game! The death scenes are amazing! Maybe you can improve the jump, because have a high gravity value without any possibility of modify the trajectory (like the old Mario games), also at the same time careful with cave spikes, sometimes is difficult to differentiate what is the spike who does damage and what not. The mechanic about you can die with your own bullets it's marvelous. Great game! Congrats!

That was cute, all that artwork. Even stepping on spikes results in the penguin holding its foot in the picture. Kind of wished there was more after reaching the goal, but what was made was pretty darn good already. Good work!

I liked the graphics a lot, I like that you had a lot of different death cutscenes too. The jump felt a bit heavy, but could be fixed pretty easily. Great job on the ocmpo!

Your game has very beautiful graphics. I really liked the sound too. The controls are comfortable and functional. The most interesting point was the implementation of the check ponit, which greatly improves the experience. Good job.

This was super dark! Nice art style, has a retro feel with the death screen illustrations. Platforming felt a little bit heavy and generic :)

The name and thumbnail are super nice, this is what interested me in the game.

Movement felt a little weird. Almost as if I was playing on 2x speed. I am not too familiar with Godot, so I might say something ignorant, but it feels like your movement and physics are bound by framerate.

Thank god you had checkpoints! If I had to repeat the full loop every time I die, I swear I would have taken the penguins gun and shot myself.

Spikes were hard to spot and the deaths came a little sudden for my taste. I like to have a moment to process what has happened (in the level) before the death screen.

I really loved this game and experience. the art is awesome and I had fun the whole time. For feedback the controls could be tighter somehow but its a great game and submission. Thanks!

### MacOS Version Works Great ###
I just had to do the same fixes that I had to do for virtually every other mac game in this jam:
1. `chmod +x Clone-Kitchen.app/Contents/MacOS/*` removes the "this application can't be opened" problem
2. `Right click -> Open -> Cancel -> Right Click -> Open -> Open` to get around the security of the mac gatekeeper

cool little cute penguin game. would have preferred if the scrolling and movement/jumping speed was a bit slower to be able to react while running instead of having to stop for a moment to look around. It made it hard to be able to jump over spiders.
I did win in the end.. or at least I think I did, because I got to the end screen but the penguin died anyway
