ESCAPE by Gildar76

Welcome to escape.

My attempt at using a bit more physics in a game.

You're stranded on an unknown planet in a small survival pod.

You need to gather spaceship parts to get away from the planet.

You pod is very fragile and you have to stay away from walls as well as meteors while you try to find the parts.

To collect parts, use your small pod to find them and bring them back using your tractor beam.

Avoid hitting the ground, or being hit by meteors.

HINT: the world is a bit big (other features planned and so on). Some of the parts might be a bit difficult to find. Go down the shaft to the right and it should be quite easy :)

When you have attached all the parts to the pad. Attach yourself to the top of the rocket to finish the game!

Good luck!

NOTE: I notice the WebGL build seem to have a few graphical artifacts and strange seems. I'll add a Windows build later.

Very neat little game. Though I was confused at first that W made the pod fly up, since the flight wasn't immediate. If there was some feedback like smoke coming out from the bottom or something, that'd be perfect.

It works and I didn't encounter any bugs! The comets on the surface was a nice touch.
It felt like the underground areas was a little oversized, so one thing to improve would be to make the level more dense.

The beam is a cool idea. I also flew up the first time and was only stopped by the invisible wall. I should definitely better read the description next time! I don't know if it is my screen but I had trouble to see anything within the shaft. At best what is immediately around the vessel so I collided with a wall I didn't see coming.

Besides this encounter with the wall, it was fun!

The controls were on point, good job. The level design could have been a little bit more interesting maybe.

Nice litte game with good physics, I crushed after collecting 3 parts, I guess I do not have enough patience ;-)

@goodzilla Yeah, the level became a bit to big.

I even removed a part to make the thing a little quicker to complete.

It's very interesting idea and good realisation. I like smooth controls and core idea! If you want to improve game design just make ship, parts and meteors bigger twice that's all you need ))
Anyway Great Work!!!

Nice space physics game! I did eventually manage to find all of the parts and take off. It reminded me a lot of Solar Jetman, which was one of my favorite games on the NES

Nice idea, I think there needs to be more illumination when the player goes underground, controls are nice, but the world is a bit big. Nice touch on the meteors. Some particle effects when you are flying would be a nice visual feedback and maybe a bit more sfx since the game felt a bit empty.
