The game is pretty well polished, and the gameplay loop is very nice and fairly balanced. There were enough things to do in the game that I didn't feel it was repetitive at all.
I think the UI could use a bit of work, it's not really clear to me how buying upgrades works. Do I need to buy upgrades from both sides of the tree to get the bottom upgrade? There was also no buy button for some of the final upgrades so I'm not sure if that's a bug or if there's something I missed.
It was easy for me to get into the groove of the game though, the mechanics were quite intuitive (I may be a bit biased for heavily playing these types of games in the past). It did take me a while to figure out that I had to send probes though, I just focused on surviving for quite a bit at the start. Maybe you could make the goal of the game a bit clearer?
The art and music were both really spot on, It really tied the feel of the game together. I really liked the sprites for the enemies!
Overall, it's a really fun game that I could totally play for a long time. Great work! :)
Also wish an animation for shooting, sometimes I think that one my guns not working, cuz enemy die really slow
Here my personal best, spend about 1 hour to get it:

Strong FTL vides lol!
I thing you can add a timer the clone room, we don't know the left before the next clone.
We understand the trouble you had about the clearness of the UI and we took your feedback to assess it :)
As you are a FTL gamer, it was more natural for you to understand what's going on compare to others who don't know FTL.
It's true that there is so much going on right on the start and we will see how can we make that better :)
The music was made by @pia-ve and she did a great job getting an ambiance for the game, she will be very happy to hear that you liked it :)
The art was made by me @nounka @mikael-grillon and @lncompetent and they will be happy too to read such kind words :) also we don't forget about the dev team too! :D they did an oustanding job considering the scope of the game!
Thank you again for your words and feedback! :)
@team-on Thank you very much for your feedback ! and the picture of your high-score! You managed the game very well! You even did better than some of our team (like me for example :D ahah)
We also took your feedback into consideration and we thank you for pointing that out :)
Also, spending one hour on our game, we are very happy about that and we can't thank you enough! :) now we need to see who will beat your highscore!
@monetai Thank you for your comment, it is indeed filled with strong FTL vibes! praise to them!
@petitpois Thank you for your nice words :)
@otakode Thank you!
@draedrus Thank you too!
@pierre-cilluffo Thank you for your kind words and your feedback! We took your feedback into account ! Thanks for pointing that out, the dev team made a great work on how the ennemies would come attacking you, and @mikael-grillon did a great jobe on designing the enemies too! :)
@jvdwijk Thank you for your nice words and for the feedback :) It's true that it can be confusing with so much going on, it was meant to be the last moment of humanity and to try to save it, so we thought very hard on how this would look like  but feedback has been taken! Thank you very much!
@mateusboga Hey Hey ! Thanks for giving us a little comment Mateus you are too kind! Thank you already for having played the game and gave us good laughs while you were saving humanity! We took some feedback you told us into account and we are very glad that you played it! Good job to you for this jam too! :)
@waylandthesmith Thank you for your words and your feedback, you are spot on on them and we have taken your words into account. It's true that with so much going it's a bit difficult to see where you're heading but overall we are happy that you played it and gave us your words. Thank you again! :)
You can see the time and effort put into your submission, I love the inspiration clearly taken from FTL. The tutorial in the game was very helpful in directing one on how to play, the graphics and visuals were well made and the music and sfx were very fitting to the atmosphere of the game.
You produced something that fit the theme very nicely and cleverly I should say.
Travail fantastique, bravo mes francophones amis. ;)
Game gets brutal pretty fast and doesn't really leave room for experimentation with different upgrades routes.
Good stuff, I'd like to see more games like this
I game loop makes sense, distributing your resource (crew) to build resources and/or protect the ship gave clear management vibes. The speed of the game loop / simulation it all makes sense as a jam game, but I think it would have benefited from being slowed down a tad (or in fact quite a lot).
I did find it quite hard to figure out where my crew were, how many I had, and how powered up each system was (as you had to click on the room to see), I think a bit more UI work and it'd be a game I'd keep bookmarked and happily idly play! Oh also, it would have been nice to see the weapons firing too, as I wasn't sure if they were working!
Great game, one of the most impressive I've played so far!
Nice job on this one. It's good and polished.
@diinki Thank you for your nice feedback during your stream and your comment here :) it was really great to see you play the game and having things to say to make it better! It's nice of you and you did a great game too! Love the sci-fi with pixel art character of your game! Thanks again!
@augus Merci beaucoup Augus and thank you for your stream with barrwani! It was enjoyable and the feedback you gave us during the play was valuable too. It was nice to see you that you spent time playing it and sorry again to have submitted the game twice with barrwani but it was fun because we watched both streams at the same time while you were having a conversation and it was funny  Thank you again!
@mateusboga Oh that's so nice of you to have made a video of it! 13 minutes of laugh and game! What could go so wrong? maybe alienzzz ? Thanks again Mateus you rock!
@attala Thank you for your comment and your kind words. Intense Jam we were having (like anybody else) but we are happy of how it came down to it, and having people like you commenting is the best reward we could have  thank you for having played it!
@jakier Thank you really much for all the feedback, some of what you summarized were spotted and taken into account, but it's nice to see more of that feedback to understand what we could have done better to make the game.....better? it's very nice to see that you wish to see more games like that, we love FTL too :)
@delph thank you very much for your thorough feedback and you are right spot on on many things you summed up. I'm pretty sure this is something we are going to look after as feedback like you just gave us is very valuable to make the game better and more enjoyable :) It's very nice of you to have played it, and left a nice comment, we can't thank you enough for that :)
@chocolat-endive You are a FTL natural if you felt so comfy playing it! Go try FTL then I'm sur you would love this game too! And thank you for your feedback, that is really nice of you :) And love your name by the way!
Anyway, it's still a great entry, good job !
I would love to play a lot more levels.
Remotely Reminded Me of "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime"
Well done! Clearly very much FTL-like. I understand that this is a score attack and so the end of the game is always about the player getting overwhelmed, sooner or later. Still, the difficulty curve could be a bit gentler, maybe more types of encounters could be added. As it is, there is a relatively obvious best strategy.
Yeaaah my highscore! I got all upgrades in every room done and tons of people sitting in every room! This was so much fun to play so thank you for this game! There seems to be no downside for this entry, it feels really polished and balanced, after 1 run I learned the mechanics and what is important for surviving. The music and sfx was good, the UI blended in perfectly with the sci-fi design.
Good job!
Best regards: hayfeverhanc from the twitch stream ;)

@beardmage Thank you for your feedback and your comment! Yes it was pretty much this feedback we received a lot and we are taking that into account to make the game clearer in a post jam version. It still misses some visual feedback for the player you are right :) Thank you for your time beardmage! Cool name by the way! :D
@ggrusha Hello and thank you for your comment :) I know this game! Yes we can say that it looked remotely like it as you have to manage the ship against oncoming aliens. I didn't play it though but I know what the concept is. It is quite close as "We need to go deeper" with a submarine version  anyway, thank you for your kind words and comment!
@asue Thank you for your kind comment! Don't worry you are not bad at it, the game needs more visual informations to be more readable :) That's why comments like yours are helpful and we thank you for that!
@aurel300 Thank you for your comment and your time playing this on the stream, it was nice to receive feedback through a stream to see directly things that needs some tweaking :) It was fun to see you play it and leaving a comment here, can't thank you enough for it :) thanks a bunch!
@bitpokit Hello and thank you for your nice words! That's really nice! We were quite a lot on this jam and we even had a musical artist to make the music, so everyone had a part in the process :) Thank you for your comment and your time! :)
@sn4pi Oh hi! Yes we remembered you from the stream me and psychyr! Thank you again to hop on here and leave us a comment! You were already helpful in the stream ahah  Psychyr did the UI, she will be pleased it's appreciated! Also you have a very neat score 10 probes for 7:00 round numbres! feels satisfying :D Well done!
@stefan-laimer Annnnd you are on first place on the scoreboard :) Thank you for your comment and playing our game, means a lot!

If you want to know the timestamp of when your game was played you can see it in this spreadsheet:
https://tinyurl.com/yau8hjzn
And then look in my latest videos and find your game being play (after the current stream ends)
https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos

@ursagames thanks for giving us information about the timestamp in your stream
@stefan-laimer Your highscore has been updated. Dang why we didn't do a highscore board in the game to let you do it by yourself? :P
@malai Thank you for your comment :) Well if you love to grow food you just have a green hand that's all! I don't see anything greedy in that :D
@larsspawn Thank you for your very nice comment, that is very kind :)
I guess it is a little bit of a shame that nothing ever happens inside the space ship as there is no reason to move any of the little dudes around after the first assignment. FTL has a lot of action happening indoors, yet fires and boarding parties would be rather tough to pull off in a jam. Maybe the rooms could sometimes malfunction and a few of the dudes are better at repairs than others, i.e. everyone else can repair too but it would be slow.
If there was any micromanagement like that, then the one other missing feature from FTL, the instant pause key, should also make an appearance.
Anyhow, stellar job!

a little better. The game just looks and feels very nice - the graphics are all very smooth and the music is very nice (especially later on in the track). Gameplay-wise, I think I found it harder because there was little indication of where problems were - all the info was basically displayed as counters (or, for costs and that sort of thing, somewhat hidden in a menu - some indication of "you can afford an upgrade for this room now!" or "there's a human doing nothing!" would have been nice). I think I personally would have enjoyed it more if there was a longer period of an easier difficulty - just to afford some time to the player to upgrade the ship as they like before things get really bad (especially if some elements of randomness were added too - it seems like there's not much pressure to adapt one's strategy as it is). I like that the player starts off with a ton of shields that, essentially, they can't hope to replenish faster than they are lost - I think that creates a nice sense of urgency, though getting it exactly right would take more balancing. I could see some sort of randomness that allows one-time increases of shields at some notable cost being effective in adding more variety without taking away the mood of "watch your ship count towards oblivion." This was a lot of fun as it is, though - and I really started to feel the tension of the situation while playing. Very well done.

It's agreeable that things that happens in the ship would be cool, but as you said, it was a bit of a challenge to implement these things altogether :) Thanks for your time!
@pawciu Thank you for your words! :)
@meelo wow thank you for your "little" comment! Nice to read that you gave the game some tries and managed to get to the highscore board! well done :)
We understand that in order to make the game a bit longer or funnier yes randommness should be introduced, we have taken this into account and seeing if we are going to do something about it.
Thank you for your time and feedback, that is really nice of you :)

@marcmagus Thank you for your comment and your time streaming it, we had a blast watching you playing it and giving us feedback for it. That was very nice of you :)
@philstrahl Thank you for your link and your stream about the game, that was really interesting and great to watch it. Sorry to not have been online at the time of your stream but thank you for your time making it.
@honest-dan Thank you for your nice words, you are being too nice :) The scope of the game was quite beyond what the Jam could let us do unfortunately, be we tried as much as we can to polish all aspects of it during the time frame, we learnt a lot through this jam but it was really nice of you playing it and leaving us a comment. And I still think Honest Dan's Trout was one of your best entry! :D well done to you too !
