WE SHALL NOT LET THE LIGHT FADE

THE FLAMES OF TRUTH SHALL BURN FOREVER

ss101_2.png

First with the members of the Torchbearers to survive the global Totalitarian Oppression! Travel around the world and play Mines... PLACE BEACONS AND HACK STUFF. Meet the (almost) adorable members of the resistance, and what ever you do, don't ask about that album.

Weird mix of globe trotting and minesweeping gameplay with a bunch of dialogue thrown in here and there. Also, it's 4 am and I have no idea what I'm writing.

I didn't expect to find a minesweeper gameplay with the theme "Keep it alive" but hey! that works :)

The grqphics are really impressive for a game jam !

Fun game, though the UI makes it hard to play and keep track of enemy progress. Cool idea though!

Minesweeper with a cool pixel art shader, an interesting story, and a kick ass soundtrack! ^^

I really loved the graphics & setting, you made a lot of the minesweeper mechanics and chose some nicely fitting sound & music. Did not get why I was thrown out of hacking sometimes, but I could just start hacking again as long as the city wasn't taken over. Earth rotation is glitchy sometimes, especially jumping quite a bit when rotating vertically.

I really like the style of the game. Menu and Button View. And also a model of the planet earth. Cool!

Loved the graphics, specially the rotating earth view. Really liked the in-world explanation behind the gameplay too.

Nice work!

@wilhelmstein Yeah, didn't have the time to add any pop up notifications. Definitely should improve on those.

@bollwerk It should only throw you out if you're hacking a city that's taken over. Probably a bug! The rotation was something I just didn't have time to fix...

The amount of content in this game is really impressive, considering how little time everyone had. Artstyle is very satisfying and the story is somehow catchy. Giving sapper game another chance to shine is quite a move. :3

Your graphics are excellent and I really like how you've brought in minesweeper as a hacking technique. Well done!

Nice game! I, as others, would have preferred to be more aware of the enemy's progress in-game... But the narration is good, graphics suit the game very well and there is quite a bit of content to play through. Also, minesweeper pandemonium with a compelling story attached to it, what's not to like?

Very stylish game indeed, and a surprising amount of content here! The narrative elements make for a nice twist to ye olde minesweeper.

Impressive work!

Very nice art and the music is quite atmospheric. I liked your interpretation of the theme as well!

Narrative is nice, even though I don't really like politics invading my games ;). Great job overall!

hacking and minesweeper! I never would have thought of that, but what a fun combo. This project really checks all the boxes for me: a nice visual aesthetic, chill chiptunes, hackery and saving the world from itself! There's a lot of fun details you put in here, like being able to click through dialogue to move a conversation along faster. That's a thing that's often forgotten in jam games with dialogue and I really appreciate that!

During my first three playthroughs, the game did get stuck on Rose's phone conversation after Andre says "what was that?". I tried clicking in different areas each time, but no dice.

The sprites are very cute. Thank you for sharing this lovely game with us!

I'm so bad at minesweeper... :(
Cool music and art!

Nice art, and I'm also bad at minesweeper haha. I ended just doing corners and getting some quick beacons in. The text popping up felt very abrupt, I wonder if there could be a loading bar or time, but seeing the waves on the globe was cool.

You had me sold at minesweeper haha

I chuckled on the end screen. Loved the gameplay, the story was interesting. The art felt nicely polished, from the characters to the scenes to even the text boxes and the minesweeper screen. The 3D planet menu was cool too!

My only major complaint is the dialog interrupting my intense focus and concentration getting the last few mines on a board. But overall a solid entry.

A parte mais complicada para mim foi ter que navegar pela tela para apertar o botão de confirmar, de resto o jogo no estilo "Campo Minado" (Minesweeper) ficou bem interessante.

The most complicated part for me was having to navigate the screen to press the confirm button, otherwise the game in the "Minesweeper" style was very interesting.

I will play more. ^^'
