One button game about a cute blob with some fluid animations :)

Keep the heart alive by filling it with your power. Gain power by eating floating blobs. Avoid rectangles.

There are 11 levels.

Made with PixiJs.

Used Bfxr for sounds and BeepBox for music (my first time making it :D )

I enjoyed drawing animations this time but found it hard to decide on the gameplay. So I changed it about 5 times and kept it simple eventually. I start with this visual idea in my head and try to fit in some genre but it doesn't always work 3__3

The movements of obstacles are totally random so sometimes they might be unavoidable.

Hope you find this little jumping game fun!

Updt: I turned the sound on by default. Thank you all for noticing :)

I love the graphics, looks amazing! It was a bit hard to click on the right time though, didn't fully understand when i had to do it so spamming it worked the best.

It was a fun game, except the audio was muted right at the start and I didn't know there was audio but I turned it on and the audio was good, it was a fun game though it was pretty easy game but think it would really fun if it was a nice mobile game to waste time! Good job!

Really nicely done! The graphics are nice and simple and the jumping animation looks and feels really good. Difficulty progression was good and the different concepts being introduced one by one worked well.

Fun game! Great background music, not sure if it's intended to be muted by default. The animations are super bouncy and cute, good job with those :)

@freakoftheyear Thank you! There is a small timeout before the new jump - when the landing animation goes you can't jump again. About double jump - yes it feels like jumping right after the first jump works highest I think

Awesome! Very good use of the reduced color scheme and it's obvious that you took your time to polish the animations. It looks gorgeous. The game play is rather simple, but doesn't overstay it's welcome. The jumping feels a little clunky. I thin others mentionied this as well, but the jumping delay after hitting the ground feels a little off, but that's an easy fix. All in all a nice little jumping game with cute reduced art. Good job!

A simple, but elegant game.
The background music gets a little repetitive after a while, though.

feed backe and animation are absolutly lovely ! , the game is cool, but i think you can improve the difficulty with no problem, the obstacles take too many levels to be really dangerous, , may be you can add some more gradually. anyway, great job !

Fun game! very simplistic and it helps it out a lot! I love the use of a color scheme, and the very squishy animations. Audio is nice too, great overall game.

Very nice! pretty art and a nice level progression. The difficulty increased at a great pace to provide a challenge without ever getting frustration.

Simple and fun! Clean art too. It was vary fun to play, and addictive as heck grabbing those circles :)

One nitpick (and it's pretty small): Jumping on the release of a click never felt quit natural, and took mental effort since typically the down press is used in games.

Great job, awesome entry!

@duke Thank you very much for such detailed feedback! I agree people seem to find my idea of making the game more difficult by adding a jump "reload" frustrating. Will change that in a future version.

@phoenix-fireflower Thank you! I'm glad it didn't get repetitive right away as it was my first time making music so it was short :D

@donitz Thank you!

@lajazuve Thank you! As for difficulty I understand it can be too easy as I was aiming for a hypercasual experience but maybe in the future I could make a separate mode with a higher difficulty

@huddybuddygreatness Glad you liked the color scheme and animations :) Thank you!

@pee-thief Hey, nice that you liked the progression! Thank you!

@guille Wow thank you for your kind words!

@no-grapes-games Yay! So glad it was addictive :) Okay I'll rework jumping in the future. Thank you!

I managed to get to level 10. The music got repetitive after a few minutes, but the audio was great if it was your first time making music. The graphics & animations were great as well! Great job!

What an awesome entry!
Gameplay is very solid and straight to the point, I love it!
designwise, this is a minimalistic masterpiece, the fluid animation is sooo nice, the jumping sound is cute and the music fits :) I've played until the last (?) level and sadly coulnd't beat it, but i'll try again later :D
Afte the 10th level it said 10 again, idk if that's a bug :3
I think you can put this already on the appstore as it is no problem (if you wanna do that at all), but I would tweak it a bit :)
I felt that sometimes the randomness can ruin your game a little, like when you get damage anyway if you decide to jump or not. the thing on the ground sometimes hit me in an unfair way as a felt it, like I jumped immediately before it hit me and it still hit me! Also sometimes the only dots I could hit in a while would have me collide with something, which led to situations where although most of the game went well I've lost anyway.
(btw: I played using a mouse, so I can imagine that with tapping with your finger this to be much more intuitive)
I know how hard it is to do this sort of random procedural gameplay as we've added that component to our game as well, and for a gamejam all by yourself in only 3 days, WOW! Outstanding result :) Really a good job!
