BRING THE OLYMPIC'S TORCH TO THE CAULDRON...
...WITHOUT EXTINGUISHING IT !
You are charged with the hard task of bringing the olympic's torch to the cauldron. However, the organizators forgot to pave the way. Therefore, you might have to do a little bit of... Parkour... In order to get to the unusual place where they decided to put the cauldron. Avoid any contact with water or strong winds in order to keep the flame alive. And don't forget to stay alive too.
Use the ZQSD / WASD on your keyboard to move, Space to jump (and double jump), Shift to run, CTRL to crouch / slide, Left Click throw your torch (and click again to recall it back), and Right Click to dash.
BE FAST & AGILE ! AVOID THE TRAPS, AND KEEP THE FLAME ABLAZE !
V1.1 : Bug Fix
Fix a crash at the end of level 2
POST JAM VERSION !
We updated the game ! We did some heavy bug-fixing, and added two new levels for you to explore. Good luck on those harder levels ;)

It was my bet than someone would make a game about the Olympic flame.
Seriously I really liked this game, it's fun, beautifull, the music is very good.
It's one of thoses "one last try" game.
I really like the fact that the mechanics have depth, you can per example throw the flamme across water and go through it while it's on the ground to take a shortcut and other thing like that.
And I forgot to talk about the UI, it's amazing, clear, usable and beautiful while staying in the game's mood.
The UI menu ordering is a little strange as you sign in for leader boards then select play. Also you could probably easily cache the leaderboard name.
I loved the fire effects. Was that a custom shader? Burning things was really fun. I liked the ambient atmosphere as well and I thought the piles of garbage everywhere were really funny. Skill sometimes jumped around a little bit.
Mostly it was really slick, really well done and fun to play.
***Spoilers***
I found the introduction of the torch holder mechanic in LVL 2 to be a a little misleading as I didn't need it to solve the immediate problem.
When I reached the second torch holder in lvl 2 I threw it and thought I was done. Lol oops. I found the second half of L2 a little confusing and kept looping back to the beginning as well.
I get antichamber vibes from the visuals and I loved that game :sunglasses:

Social Distancing For Ladybugs
And the theme implementation is interesting to say the least.. (I actually loved it :))
Greato Jobu!
Incredibly fun and well polished. The graphics are stunning, and the flame effect is great. The "woosh" as things go up in flames is particularly satisfying. The levels are well designed (multiple paths!) and that the character is fun to control. I appreciate all the affordances you gave the character (how they can get up onto a ledge even if the jump is a little low is especially nice).
A lot of fun!
Oof, this took awhile but was totally worth it. So, why do I not show up on second leaderboard tho?
Now to feedback. I think it's pretty obvious that I enjoyed this game A LOT! If it was just the first level that would be amazing but THREE with THIS level of polishing? Graphics are awesome, audio is awesome and gameplay is awesome!
And now to some minor gripes I have with the game:
- Desperately needs a quick restart button. Purposefully blowing out your torch and waiting for all animations is so loooooooong
- Wind feels really inconsistent. Sometimes it blows full speed and I dash through it just fine and sometimes it doesn't even show and the torch goes out
- Torch throw range is too short. Some shortcuts aren't even worth it because of that, when you get close enough waiting for obstacle to burn is just way too long and it's better to take the usual way
As far as levels go I think first is the best and second is the worst, third being very enjoyable too.
Great entry! Loved it!
@dylan-fries Yeah we kinda forgot to add an intro to this mechanic, so we added one but it definitely fells out of place. We would also like to modify a bit the end of lvl 2, blocking the exit of the secret shortcut and all...
@huddybuddygreatness Oh sorry to read that pal ! We didn't actually have time to add an Option menu, but we would like to do a little post mortem update to add one, we will see what we can do about graphics settings ;)
@lamossus Glad you enjoyed it ! About the leaderboard, that is a shame, you deserve that top position ! It definitely is a bug, I will look into it for a post mortem update... Some Ventilators might be still buggy as well. And the balance of the throw with burn duration and shortcut is a bit off, so we really appreciate your feedback on that :)
There is a lot we would like to add to the game, so that post mortem update will most likely be arriving soon !
Are you guys professionals with a bunch of triple AAA experience under your belts or successful indie titles?
Everything about this game is incredible, being done in 3 days is even more insane. Even if it weren't 3 days but 2 weeks, it'll still be insane.
I loved the level design and the secrets. Adding a leaderboard linked to a server too omg, and seeing the other's timings made us realize there must be something hidden. Really smart design to showcase the leaderboard to get players to find these easter eggs.
The controls are amazing too, at first we only thought of using the control of throwing the flame to get to the olympic ending sooner. But man, after we found the easter eggs. i'm sure there's some deeper strategy to do with throwing that we havent figured out yet too, maybe some combination of the different controls to open access to more areas or different ways to overcome wind and rain. wouldn't be surprised if it existed.
And the level design was very mindful of the camera, I didn't get any of the motion-sickness i usually get from 3D games with a rotational camera made in such a short time. Usually the camera slams into the wall, or gets blocked by level design pieces, or field of view wasn't considered in level design layout and entrances... but man.
The jump doesn't feel floaty at all either, it feels great and responsive and heavy. Really suitable for such a high-paced speedrun focused game.
I. Love. The. Lerping. UI. And how the sound is synced with everything. What.
The fx is beautiful too, simple but cool.
Affordance and feedback design is incredibly polished. When you die, you know exactly why and you're aware that you died because the pacing and timing of the transitions let you realize your torch is out, and notice details in the level which might have killed it. The flavour text at the end is cute and funny to read too.
The only thing I had to read instructions for were the controls, but even then that was mapped from popular shooter game controls so there wasn't much confusion there.
Freaking. Awesome.
@haiyoooo Thanks for this amazing feedback ! We're really happy the game pleased you ! Indeed it was quite hard to make this game, we were quite rushing the last few hours haha. And we're just a small indie studio that love what we do, and we do indeed spend a lot of time polishing our games :) that's what we love the most ! (We'd like one day to have a succesfull indie game !)
Indeed, there's secret pathways to score better, and you can totally throw your torch at a safe place while rushing through rainy places, and other strategies are possible to win some time !
Thanks for the kind comment on the UI, I had a great time making it with @charlietu :D
Well to be honest, your comment totally made our day, we're so happy to hear that !
* I loved the menu effects, as well as the general atmosphere of this, it's so incredibly polished and you guys should be real proud of what you've done in the time allotted.
* The game concept is incredibly fun, and even though it's challenging, it makes me want to play more to get better!
* The physics feel great
All in all, great work :)
P.S. And the menu! I forgot to tell. Very beautiful.
