Boid Survivor by Pumpkikin
Welcome to my physics game based on boids, where you take on the role of a cell-like creature looking after little cellular boids. Protect yourself and your boids from harm (or i don't know, shoot them at the enemy because boid lives dont matter? You do you, I'm not judging..) Note the game shuts itself down when you die, it's not a crash!
Dev Background: This is my first time solo deving a game, and also my 2nd gamejam. More than half my time on this game (which wasnt much, I've spent about 16 hours making this thing - thanks busy life!) was spent on 'fixing' logic issues. And by fixing I mean making them stable enough that they dont break all the time. This program may get resource intensive, so dinosaurs beware.
Bug Fix Log:
Fixed red cubes not giving player boids upon death
Fixed Player not dying when they reach 0 health
Fixed physics cubes blocking the camera
Forced application to run on 16:9 window scale. Prevents some logic issues.
Fixed Health icons not showing due to previous fix for camera (should of checked before uploading, dummy!)
Fixed not getting points when multiplier is 0

Might raise the clipping distance or fan those cubes away from the camera though, they can really clog things up.
Otherwise, a neat idea that definitely woke me up with that initial disruption lol.
Edit: also playing at an extremely high resolution somehow led me to never see a blue guy again. This didn't happen at normal resolutions.

@tarnes ah yeah the game is built around the resolution of 1920x1080,i forgot to force resolution scaling (and its too late to update now). Good shout on the clipping plane though, I didn't think about that!

If you're not on a Mac, I could possibly fix it for you tomorrow. Just let me know.
Great job you did here, the game was quite fun and entertaining, and fits the theme in a certain innovative way! Music was not playing for me, but I guess it has to do with those Mac problems.
