The Myth of Sisyphos by gilborn
Hello,
this time I used really all of the time up, but I am quite proud of the outcome (Although there could have been more Gameplay).
You are Sisyphos out of the greek Mythology, destined to roll a Rock up a mountain and see him roll back to the ground... at least it looks like the hero is stuck in this loop for all eternity. But...
SPOILER ALERT: There is a end in the game, you have to do SIX objectives to reach the end ;-)
Be aware of the Flying Monsters, they throw rocks at you.
The controls are:
- left - right => A-D or cursor left - right
- jump => Space
- pick up the Rock => left Strg*
*IMPORTANT: If you got stuck with the rock, you can lift it by pressing down the "Pick Up" button (Left Strg), if you release it, you throw the rock away. If it is going high, you have to release the stone quickly because otherwise you slide down the hill.
Controller is also supported.
- Game Engine: Unity
- Sound FX: sfxr
- Music: MuseScore
- Graphics: Gimp & Paint
Have fun and be gentle on me regarding the collision obstacles here and there...

got stuck a lot with the rock, not sure if i did something wrong
needs a bit more variation
But you were close to the end: On the fifth attempt, a lightning stroke hits the top of the mountain and removes the peak - one more go (a 6th time) and Sisyphos would have been able to put the rock on top of the mountain ;-)
Thank you for playing the game!
-As Corporation said I've became a little bit bored by the 4th-5th time, a progression sense should be awesome to complement.
-Put a "restart" button into the game, I really miss it when I died :cry:
-Make the rock also kills Sisyphos somehow (smashing him, maybe?) it would really bring some dificulty improvement to the game.
But anyways, this is a relly nice game, well done!
After loop six, the game comes to an end (in loop 5 something is happening that changes the circumstances for sisyphos ; )).
Think I should have make too loops less, since it gets repetitive in playing.
Thank you for playing the game!
(struggled a bit to move the rock above the mountain the first time before I discovered the grab feature)
I loved the lighting, decadent music and demon sprites, they synergized well.
Overall nice entry!
Looking at other comments here, there obviously is progression to the game, and even an ending, but sadly I gave up before seeing the end. Perhaps making the act of pushing the rock a little easier might help--I got stuck completely multiple times.
These minor gameplay complaints aside, the music, art and mood of the game were all great!
So please, if you left a rating, adjust it to my game ;-)
Thank you!
Good job!
Sadly time ran out to fix the colliders.
Regarding the Anonymous comment: Apart from the harsh tone, I can understand the critics, except for graphics and theme - it would have been great to get constructive feedback here. But ok - I guess this can happen with "anonymous comments" allowed :-)
