Don't touch the goblins! by Horbee
Don't touch the goblins is a game made with LibGDX. I was mainly focusing of learning new frameworks, that I didn't work with before, like Box2D, Box2D lights, GDX-AI.
I opted-out the audio category, because I didn't have enough time to make music myself. To give the game some kind of a background music, I used one of the sample soundfiles from LMMS.
Controls: WASD + Left MouseButton to shoot
The goal of the game is to collect as many scores as you can. Your life is constantly decreasing and you have to kill the light goblins to fill it up. They drop shiny lights, which heal you.
Share your scores in the comments below, and have fun!
FIX: A few of you mentioned that the room quickly fills up with goblins. That's because of the fact, that I forget to add one line of code to remove them upon collision. I add a new link to that fixed version.

That's true. Maybe I should remove the goblins if they collide with the player.
Then, you will die quicker and it avoids the room to be filled up completely. :)
Alternatively you can open a Command Prompt in the folder where the .jar file is and type: "java -jar LD46.jar"
It doesn't run on Mac at the moment because of GLFW, and I didn't test on Linux either.
If you still have problems to run it, drop me a message.
Movement and shooting felt very snappy, and the game difficulty REALLY ramped up at the end there, holy cow. The sound design was subtle but pleasant, working well in service to the soft lighting. Overall a very nice submission!
Maybe more than one. In fact, I got so surrounded by them I had to wedge myself in a corner and rapid-fire to keep them off me ;) The controls worked nicely, and the lighting was really cool. Not a lot of depth to the game, but I liked that it offered a definitive chunk of gameplay and rewarded me with an ending and a score.
Nice work for a short jam!
