Another Ludum Dare, another NES game. This time I ran out of time for the SFX, so it has to be silent, sadly... Play it on either a real NES, or your favourite emulator (I've included MESEN in the file to play it in case you don't have one, simply open toi.nes in MESEN :D)

OMG!! I never thought I'd play a NES game made here!! This was a huge surprise. The graphics and gameplay are simply great!!!! I don't know if it was a problem with my emulator, but there was no sound in the game. That's the only negative in my opinion. Congratulations!!! Keep up this superb work!

The graphics were definitely my favorite part here. I think the gameplay was a little too sluggish, though. I enjoyed this.

I love that this was an NES game, and the pixel art was great! Fantastic submission :)

Love it, I'm a fan of nes games so I had to play! Its pretty brutal and only having three lives is so hard. I've only made it into the cave but it's a good challenge. Hoping you add sound at some point!

Wow! I did not exepect an NES game for this jam! I really liked the art style and also the gameplay. This is so surprising to me! Great game!

Great concept, amazing execution and points for including an emulator. Really great job. The art work was spot on, the color palette, the controls, everything was great. Thanks for the game.

Gameplay was too slow to have such limited lives. I can't knock the authenticity of the NES idea, I guess. Great graphics, fun puzzles with the trowing mechanic. Love the idea of making a game for an emulator in the LD.

Awesome that I could just drop the `.nes` file into an emulator on my mac and it works perfectly, I dug it. Collisions felt a little weird to me, but they were almost nes-like? Really cool.

Absolutely brilliant. Are you sure you made this in 2 days? It's one of the most polished Ludum Dare entries I've ever seen and it's an NES ROM. The throwing mechanic makes you want to be super cautious because you can easily miss with it and it's crazy.

Wow this is legit! Super well done for making a NES game and a good one at that! The art style is :ok_hand: and has some interesting mechanics like throwing your buddy around!

👏 Great entry!!

A rare treat seeing something like an NES game in a JAM like this. It was a huge disappointment that there was no sound though

Really impressive.

Not a big fan of a limited lifes system on a gamejam tho, i wouldn't expect anyone to finish the game (i didn't ☹ )

Tossing can be sometime a bit dificult, especially the oversized weight, since you don't really know the trajectory in advvance and literally have only one chance with it.

Good job !

Great game! Really impressive that it's made for the NES. I liked the particle effects and the classic NES style difficulty. It took my a while to figure out what the NES controls were on my keyboard, so maybe including that on your page would clear a lot of things up. I also think you shouldn't be able to lose lives at the starting area, just let the player mess around with no penalty, and then kick things off. Still, pretty cool game!

A really nice game! It looks incredible and is rather fun, but the limited lives system made it way too hard. Other than that, it was great!

Wow! An NES game made in assembly in 48 hours?!!?! That's impressive! I really like the graphics and the feel of the controls/physics. It really feels like you're being weighed down when you're carrying the body. The cutscenes are a nice touch too! The game was pretty challenging for me and I couldn't finish it D: I would have liked having more than 3 lives or having no lives counter. Btw no music is ok! It takes time to write the sound engine and stuff!! Anyways keep up the great work and good luck!

The fact this is a NES game I can run on a console if I had the means to do that or an emulator is honestly super impressive! I kinda wanna learn to make this type of stuff now!

The graphics are really spot on! Gameplay is really fun and interesting; as well as thought out! Level design is super nice!

Everything is just perfect, if you add sound to a updated version that'd be amazing!

It was super cool that this was an actual NES rom, though it took me a while to actually find the game in the folder. The game has a good use of theme but I couldn't manage to get past the 3rd screen. That jump over the gap with the slide kept getting me.
