Alien creature from space! by Runuchok

[raw]
made by Runuchok for Ludum Dare 46 (COMPO)

Cover.jpg

Here's my work! Done in 48 our, while recovering from back injury! =D It was hard to sit and code for long, so some times it was done from bed! (God bless remote control!) XD

Also it should've been published in COMPO, but i have an issue with compiling stuff. And tired enought at 3 am just give up to resolve this issue. So JAM it is!

P.S. So it's allowed me publish as COMPO, so it be! =D

I couldnt win it for the life of me xD but I did really enjoy it. It was a little unclear exactly what did what or how effective things were, but the game was very nice to play~ nice job :) oh right and the video link for the tutorial is broken btw~

That's a really cool game ! The graphics are really nice to, at least the finished ones.
The only thing is the lack of quit/close button, since the game is in fullscreen.
I had a great time !

Really good game! and can't helping noticing the [LD46_KeepItAlive_BackUpThisFolder_ButDontShipItWithYourGame] folder XD.

One small piece of advice: if there is some kind of feedback loop on the base, it would bring more dynamic into the game.

Wow! That's a great mature game, it has potential to grow into a really fun and clever strategy game. Well done, I really enjoyed playing it.

Really cool, we had a bit of a similiar idea! That with the connections required is a bit confusing. The gameplay is really interesting but could use more polish.

Wow!!!
I loved this game quite a lot!, very enjoyable, once you get the mechanics it becomes very strategic! Once of the best I played so far.

I won! Tanks OP, but Hives even more OP. I liked this twist on tower defense, growing out from a central location and keeping all sides defended. Nice work!

Nice game! It still needs some balance but the idea is very good.

Wow, Super fun, felt like playing starcraft with zerg, just out grow your enemies :D, Good job. Some audio would have been nice, but other than that perfect!

Interesting concept, though not the style I usually play. I kept playing until ~33%, then I gave up.

A couple of points that could be improved, though I understand that this was hard to do in one weekend:
- it is not completely clear what all the structures do, and what are the rules for building them. Moreover, the intro screen speaks about a tower, but I didn't manage to build any during the game.
- I could use more visual feedback for what's going on.
Overall, the game would be easier to play if there were missions, or perhaps a small tutorial. But then again, great job for a weekend, especially when you're recovering.

Really really cool! :D But i die once the tanks are coming !

By the way i've got a bug - no more active brains, progress at 17% and the enemies are still coming

(sorry for bad english)

@ondrasej Yeah, i stumbled on explaining what does what) Game needs some sort of step-by-step tutorial for basic of growing "tumors" and evolving them to towers by right clicking))

@hadb Yeah, lose screen is not showing up( I think it's bugging progress bar too... Did you play original suggestion or "balance fix"?

@runuchok the original one. I've just tested the balanced one now but the bug is still there. Also i survived longer '^^ but it still hard to get it well (up to 60% after that i got crushed). Keep it up!
