DemonSpawn: Chicken of the Depths by ForgeronStudio
As hard as you tried, you never did manage to lay an egg. Now, as if by magic, you've been given a chance. It might not look like every other egg, but it is yours.
How far will you go to keep it alive?

In any case, it was pretty fun. Also that chicken walk-south animation is great
Does the message at the end after you complete the ritual mean there's an alternate ending?
Possible spoilers ahead: the antlers are actually not from the goat, and there may be an alternate ending ;)
I liked the player chicken drawing but none of the other graphics gelled with it. The blown-up RPG buildings and trees are understandable, but stuff like the solid green background for grass seemed like low-hanging fruit that really could've added to the aesthetic.
Programming-wise there are also a number of opportunities for improvement - including smooth + diagonal movement, and revealing the dialogue when Q is pressed early instead of just jumping to the next message.
I enjoyed the writing and the characters, as well as the background music but I wished it would've looped more frequently.

Well done! I was surprised on the turn it took (#°Д°)
it was funny and seemed well-planed \( ̄︶ ̄*\))
@0x01f0 A meme of our game!!! What an honor :open_mouth: Glad the ending was effective!
@TheFoppian Thanks a lot for playing! The collisions did give us a lot of trouble... we used a fairly bare-bones library, but might opt for an engine next time around
@belowzerogames Thank you! So glad you enjoyed :)
Don't get me wrong, I still think that you've done an admirable job here. Making any kind of video game is very difficult, especially when you only have 72 hours to do it.
