Save That Baby by JordyForNow
This game is about trying to save a baby falling out of the sky, keep it alive by bouncing it with the net carried by two very nice guys.
This is the first game I ever made, it's really simple and far from perfect but I'm really happy with the result. I hope you can get some fun out of it while playing. Please post your high score down below!

I found it funny that hitting the building wall or other baby...bits will also kill the baby (What a weird sentence).
Collision kills!
The floor kills, the walls kill, **even baby corpses kill**. This, combined with how quick horizontal momentum builds up as you reflect babies on the trampoline makes the game unwindable after a while.
To your credit, the blue "paramedics" have cute walking animations so there's that. I liked how they controlled, even if they were almost never able to outrun the baby when it's flying in an arc.
It's a lot better than my first LD (on the old site) which didn't even restart unless you refreshed the page if memory serves right XD I wish you luck in honing your skills today, so can make a better game tomorrow. Cheers!
For one, there's absolutely no friction between the player and the game. No menus to navigate when you die, no instruction screens to convey the simple premise, just continuously spawning babies and you're immediately in the action. It's a weird thing to point out, but I really appreciated it!
The mechanics are also deceptively more complex than they originally appear. I love the fact that you can essentially put "spin" on the baby like it's some kind of ping-pong ball, and that you have to use that to your advantage in order to prevent the baby from hitting the outer walls.
This reminds me a lot of old-school flash games I would play all the time back in the day. Simple concept, but addicting replayability. Well done!
Great entry!
PS: It reminds me of an old SNES that I can't remember..
Like a @silkworm-sweatshop said that was suprisigly fun!
Nice little game. Could make it to 60.
Great Job!
Edit: Jeez, am I the only one who read the description? :p
