SpaceLoop by Alexey Malinin

[raw]
made by Alexey Malinin for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

You just fly home after a long journey and listened to the Russian hit "And we do not dream of the roar of the cosmodrome ..." But enything went wrong ... When you woke up, blood was oozing from your hand, and the buttons on the ship's control panel were blinking.SpaceLoop1.JPGSpaceLoop2.JPGskybanner01.png

The game is kinda fun, and I'm really loving level design and art. But I was managed to run from spaceship and run in outter space :D

I found a bug. For me the countdown covers a quarter of the screen.![Screenshot 2020-10-06 at 05.37.39.png](///raw/2bc/d2/z/38c5d.png)

Also is the countdown supposed to start at 300seconds? Mine started at 120 and I didn't feel like I had enough time to get anything done.

Okay launching myself into space was pretty epic. Eventually fell back into the ship haha. I almost never knew what I was doing, but it was fun exploring the game's mechanics through playing, reminded me of a lost era of video games in the early PC or C64 styles.

Got a flashlight, cable and some tools but could never work out what to do with them, or find the medical bay. Feels like I was just slightly missing some detail.

Had a hard time figuring out where the initial goal (Medical Bay) was, but I did have a lot of fun flinging myself into space :D

Lol, memo to self: _don't_ jump out into the vast emptiness of space... I love the spinning though!

Love the art and fun gameplay!

I also had the issue with the countdown panel taking up most of the screen.

I didn't make it very far through the level either. I think you somehow need a little more indication of the goal for the player.

Wah I want to play it but the Unity Player is stuck on 0% in the loading screen. Win10/Chrome. Was able to play other web Unity games so not sure what the issue could be! Love the little character.

Thanks a lot for the comments! This is our first jam, and we did not have time to implement everything. But we will finalize the project and take into account all the shortcomings and wishes.

This was great! I struggled to understand what the objectives were but enjoyed walking around the ship. I liked the chat box at the bottom left telling you what happened during an interaction but a lot of the time it was blank (see screenshot) so I didn't quite know what to do. Some sort of map and "current objective" would be helpful.
On the other hand, the graphics were great, the character was so fun to watch walk around and interact with things (ejecting myself into space the first time made me crack up). The spaceship was so well made and it was a fun concept. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more games from you in future game jams!![SpaceLoop_BlankInstructions.PNG](///raw/aba/52/z/3913b.png)

The COuntdown started at 120 not at 300. It tried a few times but came to the conclusion that i just don't have enough time to finish the level.
I like the level design though. The movement and the controls fell good as well. I found that you can glitch yourself through walls if you stand in the right place :-). Overall a fun game. Sadly i can't finish it in the given amount of time.

There were lot of collider gaps between boxes....So the character was falling down several times.....but Loved the cute lil astronaut though......

There are lots of bugs though the game can become a big project...if you still work on it....

I find the graphisms really cool but i couldn't figure out how to progress in the story. I picked some objects but failed to know you to use this. Nevertheless, thank you for your game

We really want to fix bugs in the game, but we were told that at the time of voting, not everything can be edited without breaking the rules ))
Psss .. on key F - flashlight (if it's taken)

Theme usage ok, loved the initial comics. Nice cosmonaut model!

The rest of 3d graphics need just a little more work - for example, I wouldn't presume that a small box on the floor would be a flashlight.

Of course I couldn't resist to open a door to space 😁

I liked the art and animations, but couldn't figure out what to do. Eventually I fell out to space and found a piece of wire there, but then doors no longer opened for me... Maybe highlightin interactable items would have helped?

I had some trouble with the controls. E is right next to AWSD, am I supposed to play one handed or something? This has been curiously common control scheme in LD many games. Back in the flash era arrows + Z and X used to be the standard

I like the character and the movements are good. The ship configuration is interesting but I would say perhaps a bit too big. I'm not fond of maze exploration with limited time. Anyway. I can see that there's a lot of work.
