Break the Cycle by Nate Wert

In Break the Cycle you play as a Turtle whose only goal is to live and reproduce. But is that really all there is to life? Is life really just a giant cycle of life and death? That's the cycle the Turtle wants to break.

To play use either the left and right arrow keys (or a and d) to move. However the Turtle is stuck only moving in one direction (This is intentional to show he is stuck in the loop) therefore both the left and right default to the same direction. The escape key will bring up a select menu in case you need to restart, go to the menu scene, or quit the game. Thank you for playing!!!

Cute graphics & audio! The gameplay is a bit deterministic but it fits the theme :P

Very nice theme! The audio and graphics match the game very well. It can be better if you tell players they should avoid the spikes cuz they're hard to see sometimes.

Nice mechanic, I like the scrolling circle platform level. The life cycle is a nice take on the 'loop' aspect of the theme too.
I think you probably could have made the spikes a bit clearer, I didn't even notice them on my first run.
Good job!

good: nice cute art style. pretty music in the background. the minimal sound effects are also nice. you get to do nsfw turtle activities.

bad: the text has inconsistent fonts/sizes (e.g. "2 loops to break the cycle") which I found a bit jarring. not much in the way of gameplay/choices/etc, unless there's a way to get further that I didn't find :)

I liked the whole idea of breaking the cycle! The second type of spikes on the last generations was a little hard to understand, but the bits of text in every generation and the mutations were a really nice incentive to keep going!

I think it was extremely creative. I liked it a lot. There wasn't too much to do from what I saw but given the time frame, overall awesome job!

I really enjoy the idea of breaking the "loop" itself. the sound effects are suitable for this small-scooped game. Especially, this game knows how to utilize the game loop to keep player in the "loop". Godd job!

Simple but pretty graphics style, chill audio, good idea of cyclic world (but I started to get dizzy at some point XD).
The size of everything and colliders not being presise is something that was bad for experience. Overall good job)

Relaxing game :) I didn't understand what was happening at the beginning when I died again and again (restarted 10 times :X :D) but in the end I understood that there was just 1 level and I finished it^^
Overall, cool ambience and lovely drawings

I like general idea! I like how the game and audio is mixed! What I don't like is to die in 2nd cycle. Can't get idea how to survive =)

Cool concept mate. Like how the level goes around and the graphics are pretty sweet too. Music was on point for making a relaxing experience like this. Really fits the theme well. Got confused why I kept dying on generation two, didn't realise the killer plants in the background. Great work!

Nice game! Took me many tries to figure out what was killing me, I thought the spikes were background decorations.
