Paradox by IndieRonin
GOAL:
The goal of the game is to run from the orb, if it gets to close to you for longer than 5 seconds you get teleported back to the start. If you want to know how to win the game read the readme.
CONTROLS:
W: Move Forward
A: Strafe Left
S: Move Backwards
D: Strafe Right
E: Grapple
Space: Jump
Gliding: If you are in the air and press space again you fall slower "glide".
Left Shift: Sprint
Once you are grappled you can press the grapple again to cancel it or jump when you reached your grapple destination to preform a higher than normal jump to get onto ledges.
TODO:
I want to show the grapple point and give the player a more basic since of what the goal is for the game.
Want to improve on the colors and and models.
Make a proper win screen.
Write up a short story for the game.
BUGS:
The game is suppose to spawn about 20 rooms per play but it does not sometimes.
TOOLS & ASSETS USED:
Game Engine: Godot - C#
Graphics: Blender / Artflow
Music: Groovepad
Music and Logo by: My wife - not registered on the site.
SOURCE:
You are free to grab the source and have a look just do not augh to hard at the comments they are the ramblings of a madman on a very short schedule. Ironically enough the ramblings at the room builder loop is the worst.

I really liked the graphics and audio of this game.
The cursor confused me for a bit, it looked like a tiny bird or something. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Really fun little game.
You need to rate other people's games in order to get your game bumped up higher
Art wise, the game has almost basic 3d structures, the colors are on point for the game but not something to write home about, but the music, the music is just the cherry on top of the cherry. It s really on point and it s so nice and feels like it fits the game somehow so good.
It s really nice game with a really nice mood and atmosphere. I repeat, the music really made the game feel a lot better. Cheers and have fun creating games. You really did something nice here.
Nice gameplay, I would have liked a little more colors
Same for me :-(
I got it to start with Firefox, but then the camera was stuck upwards and not responding to the mouse.
Too bad, this game looked very promising!
@ace17 I tested on my Firefox and it worked fine. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, honestly I have no clue as to where I should even start to fix a bug like this to be honest.
@haustgeirr Thanks for the play through
@vrerabek I appreciate the feedback, could you elaborate on sound feedback and how you found it hard to navigate?
I also liked the graphicaly style of the surfaces, minimal yet defined. Like others have said, I wished there was a bit more colour on the surfaces, this would have helped me orientate myself in the alien landscape. I see this is on your todo list :)
Movement wise, I found myself spamming the grapple key a lot. Both to reach places and to backtrack. I know you want to indicate grapple point better, but I also wonder if it's worth adding a cooldown on the grapple so that I'm being more strategic about timing and placement.
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention - Linux build ran well for me!
I liked the mysterious pillar at the start and the modelling style in general, but I wish that this demo would me teach / introduce the mechanics a little better. I gave up in the room where I had to grapple trough the ceiling, it was too difficult for me.
Props for using godot!
@diego-escalante I'm happy you enjoyed it, you are right there is allot of feedback needed from the grapple and indication of distance, the grapple line is in the build but disabled I couldn't get it working well enough to enter it into the last build. The win condition is in the readme :)
