Reloop by LukeBandy

[raw]
made by LukeBandy for Ludum Dare 47 (COMPO)

Help your future self get to the teleporter by solving puzzles with a combination of trigger pads and weighted crates

Controls

A/D or Left/Right to move, W/Up/Space to jump, R to trigger a reloop

Controllers are also supported, with A/X being jump and Y/Triangle being reloop on Xbox/Playstation

Created using

Unity

Aseprite

sfxia!

Post-jam bug fixes - Improved ghost behaviour (applied the Player's physics material to them) - Stopped the cube on level 7 from getting stuck (resticted Y-movement and rotation) - Improved scaling on web version (moved to non-experimental PP camera for the normal render pipeline)

Notes

I had to disable Unity's fancy 2D lighting at the last minute to make it run on WebGL, so I'd recommend downloading!

Good game with very fun and challenging puzzles. Really nice transitions! I also liked the idea of the heavy block that you have to move with your copies.

I found a small bug on level 6, but i think it depends from unity physics: the block get stuck as it fell

Hey @coding4rtist, thanks for letting me know about this! I haven't come across it but I should easily be able to stop it from happening.

Nice little game, really dig the mechanic ! Puzzling is good, very easy to understand and it feels nice and rewarding :)
A good compo entry !

Nice puzzle game with a good amount of levels that are unique. It felt really smooth to play and was intuitive. It would have been nice to have a puzzle where you could do something with your clones in a wrong order that would mess you up the first attempt so it was not so straight forward.

@sirred thanks, the last level was my attempt at doing that but puzzle design is not my forte!

Super nice puzzler with impressive mechanic! It also seems to work super solid, which is impressive for only 48 hours (I at least imagine it being complicated enough to implement :D)!

I also really like how complex it gets later on, you put in lots of effort with the content!

Great game, I had fun!

Really fun game! I thought you made very creative use of your mechanics. The level where you had to team up to push a large obstacle was a really clever and new idea. The overall level of polish was also great! The character sometimes glitched out a little bit on the buttons, but you probably know that already :)

Damn the concept is so good and working so great! You made a killer level design with some only winable in the last second of the last loop. The fact you can quickly use all your loops to restart the entire level is well thought aswell. I've tested close to 30 games and this is the one with the best core mechanic I've seen so far.
I don't especially like puzzle games but it was so easily understandable what you can and have to do, Perfectly executed :v:

@neragoth thanks for such amazing feedback, means so much! I think the fact that I generally don't like puzzle games helped me make this one better

funny little puzzle platformer game - sometimes it was a bit weired to reach the end but a good job overall and fluid controls.

Nice game. The mechanics I’ve seen before in some other games here, but it is very well implemented. Good job.

This was great, and is especially impressive for an LD game! The mechanics worked really well. I found myself wanting to skip over the rewinding animation, but that's just me being impatient to play. Nice work!
