Dungeon Master by ukra174

[raw]
made by ukra174 for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

Dungeon Master - super casual action slasher and topdown shooter to play when you are angry. Сarve out the crowds of space aliens caught on your spaceship with extreme ammounts of weapon. The hero of the game "Dungeon master", a space traveler who explores different planets. And suddenly his dangerous flight was interrupted by a alien's meteorite hitting his ship...!

And we want to notice that there are two versions, it's because in the end our opinions diverged. You can download only one, or both and write in the comments which one you like the most. AAAAA.png

I found the music fitting.
I would suggest having the camera zoomed out more to see more of the screen.
I didn't get what the Stuck in a Loop theme was in this one.

Not bad, I downloaded the first .zip and played through that. You have the foundations here for a fun twin stick shooter. With a little more polish this could be an interesting game.

I downloaded this, cause I thought it's gachimuchi game, but it's not. But I had fun, good job!

Shooting visuals are badass, felt right and fitting to music. Theme presentation is a weakness, tho

Nice game, but just got more and more enemies and then died. The guitar music is fitting.

Wow, that felt good, when this red mass of enemies washed in from one corner of the screen, with all lifebars rotating in all directions to the music. That said, the game could be even better with just some minor adjustements, like where the bullets come from and a greater field of view. Currently you are shooting blind at enemies outside the screen but i want to look them in the eyes, when they die!

The blue bugs are impossible to kill, which made it really difficult at some point. I didn't see how it fits the theme, but it was fun.

I liked the UI and enemy design of @daine0's version better, but the attack from @ukra174's was more satisfying. Soundtrack fits well with the gameplay

Good perfomance handling all those instances at once, no lag, satisfying constant shooting (idk if that was intended tho) and an actual soundtrack.

Yeahhh! Wave 14! There is a small bug in the game. I have lost live without being hit. Really nice idea and i liked the music a lot while playing it. Nice game.

Got a bit scared when the game froze for a minute after pressing play, and then when I wasn't expecting it the music started blasting :O but it's a very satisfying shooter you've made here and everything seems to fit perfectly. Great job!

I think the black laser thing is more satisfying than the bullets, but both could use some more audio/visual feedback. Juicy screenshake would add a lot, and is generally very easy to implement. Some SFX would be great too. Enemies could flash and crunch when you hit them. The game already feels quite nice to play, but i think it's worth thinking about how you could take the overall game feel to another level.

This was fun! I love that this comes with an OST on itch as well haha, not many jam games get their own soundtrack! It felt very fun to spew around that black spray and take out tons of enemies at once :D I think this game could have benefitted from a bit more of a zoomed out view, and maybe some on-hit effects on enemies and the player for when they take damage :) Good stuff

There is definitely slasher aura in the project ;)
But why the hero shooting from his head ? ;D . Also I would make enemies spawning not so instant.
I liked the flow of the game - everything is quick without lags and spikes.

I didn't get where is space shooting in the game. Did I missed something? Or it's because I downloaded the other version of the game?
And didn't found how the theme is applied.

Badass. The first one felt a little crazier with the a greater flow of destruction. Also when going back to the menu on the first one...the mouse cursor exists and you can exit the game softly.

Hi all right your game is very interesting, games that have a constant repetition mechanic no matter how easy they seem to be, they always make the creators fall into one of the two types of traps, trap 1 make a game that ends up becoming too easy making the player tired of not having challenges, or trap 2 making a game that you make the gameplay unfair by making the difficulty greater than it is possible to pass, my advice for future upgrades in your game, is to try to deliver moderately rewards for your performance , so it would stimulate him to continue, bring the feeling of impact when he collides, his gun shoots bullets but the way it appears could replace by laser due to the quantity, congratulations on the project, I wish you luck in your development, a big hug.

I couldn't play the game, because I can only play web games, but I downloaded and listened to the music, that was pretty awesome.
