Protect the Earth by gord10ahmet

Meteors are falling to our Earth! Its only chance is you, the Earth Protector. You need to destroy the meteors before they reach the Earth.
We have 2 game modes: Firing rockets to the meteors or slicing the meteors with your mouse swipe.
Also, we have 3 Power-Ups: Health, Destroy All Meteors, Slow Time
The difficulty increases with each meteor you destroy.

simple, and well executed. it just doesn't feel very unique (I also liked the graphics)
At some point I just started using slicing as a shooting mechanic. And maybe adding some other types meteor would have added more variety to the game.
Nonetheless enjoyed the game.
The fruit ninja version was more interesting. Nicely implemented, but not very playable. Asteroids are too small to hit...
All in all, one of he best looking asteroids game of LD46.
However my main issue was with the audio - blast sounds got really repetitive and annoying, and I was really missing some spacey music.
Second issue is that the difficulty/intensity is always the same, and it's just stressful to play like that - I would wish for levels, or waves, or just generally parts of varying difficulty.
I really liked the art style. Really painterly (if that's the word?).
Good job
@other-wb there is actually a known bug in the game. Meteors get destroyed even if a rocket isn't hitting them. It seems like it detects a meteor-rocket collision, but I couldn't find out why.
Also, the slice mode was a lot more interesting than the rocket mode. Good choice on that one. It was fun to see how many I could get with a single beam.
The explosion sounds cut out a bit soon, would be nice for them to trail off just a bit rather than instantly cut off.
