Meteors are falling to our Earth! Its only chance is you, the Earth Protector. You need to destroy the meteors before they reach the Earth.

We have 2 game modes: Firing rockets to the meteors or slicing the meteors with your mouse swipe.

Also, we have 3 Power-Ups: Health, Destroy All Meteors, Slow Time

The difficulty increases with each meteor you destroy.

It's pretty fun just not that interesting, there are many games that have done almost the exact same thing. maybe you could have made it more replayable by adding more interesting types of power ups? and maybe more types of meteors, maybe the big ones need two rockets?

simple, and well executed. it just doesn't feel very unique (I also liked the graphics)

We kinda had similar games XD.
At some point I just started using slicing as a shooting mechanic. And maybe adding some other types meteor would have added more variety to the game.
Nonetheless enjoyed the game.

The shooting version I have played too many different version today. Still this is one of the best looking ones. Missing explosions.

The fruit ninja version was more interesting. Nicely implemented, but not very playable. Asteroids are too small to hit...

All in all, one of he best looking asteroids game of LD46.

A known gameplay idea with a "clean" and simple execution. It gets quite hypnotic after a while :) Some more variation, more sounds and a killer soundtrack would do wonders to this game.

Pretty plain given the time frame, but cleanly executed. Where it lacks content it compensates with responsiveness.

I like that you thought to create two modes, and they both work ok. Shooting was kinda boring, but slicing was interesting, and it actually gets easier to slice multiple at the same time when you let them get closer to hitting.
However my main issue was with the audio - blast sounds got really repetitive and annoying, and I was really missing some spacey music.
Second issue is that the difficulty/intensity is always the same, and it's just stressful to play like that - I would wish for levels, or waves, or just generally parts of varying difficulty.
I really liked the art style. Really painterly (if that's the word?).
Good job

I like the aspect of the game but after like a minute my finger did get tired. I like the theme but the gameplay seems kind of original. Music was also another missing item, some type of music would have been fine other than the asteriods being blown up.

This is a clean and simple interpretation of the theme. I like how straight forward and responsive the gameplay is. Frantically trying to get the power ups while defending the earth at the same time was a fun way to spice up the repetitive task of destroying asteroids. I would have liked to see some kind of penalty or incentive to not just spam rocket shots, maybe by having a combo system that resets on misses or limiting the number of active rockets a la old arcade games. Overall, well done!

Good classic and shooting game, like said @travisa after a time i stopped clicked to fire , because is too exhausting. Maybe you can change for automatic fire with limited ammunition ?

I don't know how many times I restarted the game to go more far. Nice work but some background music would be perfect!

@joleon I added explosion sound variation (based on pitch), I hope you like it now. There is actually increasing difficulty, the meteor speeds increase each time you destroy one. Thanks for the feedbacks!

Fun game, I found playing with a touchscreen a lot more engaging! It might be a bit easy though, I got almost 500 on my first try, an increased difficulty curve could help with that. Overall I liked it a lot and the graphics were very clean.

@brendev Thank you. There is actually increased difficulty, but it stops at a certain point, I thought the game could be impossible if it was harder.

One thing I find fascinating about this game is the contrast between the slice mode, and rocket mode. I think the rocket mode is clearly easier, much easier, but for a strange reason. The slice mode is more fun. The reason the slice mode is more fun, and why that makes it more difficult, is because I kept trying to go for combo slices! So it was my own fault, I made it more difficult because it was cool haha. I think that's the mark of a fun game. If you added extra points for combos, or some type of neat effect or bonus for them, that could be cool!

Hey great job. We do have similar games. I like the slice game mode. It was a lot of fun. I tried it on my iPad and although it was faster it was still fun. Good Job.

Nice game, guys ! When I was shooting by rockets, it felt like the asteroids could go through regions which couldn't be accessed by the rockets. But maybe it's just because of a gap between consequent shootings.

Both the game`s graphics and atmosphere were awesome! The sound effects were nice(I wish their was space background music). The Game was simple and intuitive. Strong game entry, good job, and keep it up!

Thank you all!
@other-wb there is actually a known bug in the game. Meteors get destroyed even if a rocket isn't hitting them. It seems like it detects a meteor-rocket collision, but I couldn't find out why.

Very solid game. Simple to understand and pick up and play. But difficult to do well. I'm not really a score attack kind of person, so there isn't much here for me beyond the first few plays. But for that kind of person, yeah there seems to be a lot of room to get better. Does it scale up in difficulty as it goes on, so that the better players will eventually fail?

Also, the slice mode was a lot more interesting than the rocket mode. Good choice on that one. It was fun to see how many I could get with a single beam.

The explosion sounds cut out a bit soon, would be nice for them to trail off just a bit rather than instantly cut off.

@archimagus Thank you! The difficulty increases with each destroyed meteor.
