Pretty Fun and quick. I just got a bit confused what needed to survive since I assumed it was the player and not the plant until the plant started screaming.

I really enjoy this game's concept. It seems really well polished and plays really smoothly. It's fairly easy, but overall, it's a pretty good game.

70 was the best I could do, I love the graphics in it and the gameplay is really fun and hectic. I was almost getting anxiety as the whole screen filled up with crazy mutated demon plants, very well done!

Love the game. It turned to be challenging. And also with random stones, it has more replay-ability factor, you can change the strategies.
Really like the fighting effect with shaking.

Would be cool to have some background music.

I really like the gameplay and graphics. The map looks a bit too big since we don't have to move away from the center. A lot of fun anyway!

Fun fun fun, but i can't manage really a strategy to go around, I am just back and forth.
Can we plant more of our flowers ?
To balance the game, it should be less intensive ( as it is exponential with the bomber flowers ) and plant our own flower

The exponential growth is intentional, with a bit of luck you can catch the first weeds before they spread and... flatten the curve :nerd: But it definitely has some balancing issues, hope to revisit it later. Thanks for your feedback all! :)

Wow, very well done. Really love that imergent from a signle system comes two distinct modes of gameplay: one of precaution before the exponential boom, and one just trying to keep the flower alive after everything's gone crazy.

Really nice art! Gameplay is simple but very fun. I like now having to push buttons to do actions, just walk over stuff. Great to see some love for PICO-8 too :)

Nice work.
The game gets very hectic very quickly.
Whether or not I could clear 250 turns depends mostly when the seeds of the weeds land (the closer to the flower, the better the changes since you don't have to move too far).

The game is fun to play and the controls feel good, snappy and great sound/visual feedback! My only criticism is that the start is a bit slow, you can't get too far away of the plant to keep it wa but all the weeds are at the edge of the playfield.

Thanks for your comments all! I did find during my own playthroughs that if you water the plant and dash to the corners you can just about make it - but only just. Then the problem does not become so much weeds spawning at the edges, but more if they keep spawning at opposite corners. But don't forget it's turn-based! You can take time to plan your strategy. Where I want to improve it is when the weeds start growing too close to your plant. It dies sooner, but it's not completely obvious how that mechanic works...

There's definitely something that drew me in and made me want to keep playing until I beat it! I did feel like I was getting better at it with each retry, so that's a good thing as well. I do wonder if some rock formations just make it impossible to beat? Overall, impressive job on this one!

Hello. I just recently programmed PICO-8 which is a great manageable platform for LD. This is a good looking entry, I like the artwork. Nice this was made turn based. The only thing which I miss for many LD entries including this one is that I have no chance to keep it eventually alive and win. Anyway, this was a fun time to play with.

Thanks for the feedback! I think the biggest issue is with balancing - interesting to see how some people say it's too easy and others that it's impossible to win. A lot of luck involved, but I do think there are at least two strategies that allow you to win more often than not... ;)
