The system froze on the command "webcam park". Other than that - I was really enjoying it!

Cool idea well executed. I really missed that the up arrow did not select previous command as i am used to on command line. But fun idea on the theme

@zypo what os/browser are you using? I would expect a few frames, not a freeze

@aterlamia I did want to add that, but ran out of time haha. Was a little more complicated than I anticipated so I didnt get around to it

One of the best games I've played during this jam. I loved how interactive it felt, and how you can do pretty much anything with the commands given to you. Well done!

I'm such a sucker for games like this. Well done! Will very likely come back to play more.

Also I saw what looked like the webcam freezing, but it did eventually show the display. It hung just long enough that I did almost shut it down, but it worked for me.

Not exactly my cup of tea, but a good idea, good execution, and good sound effects. I love the old keyboard typing sounds that play when you're typing in game.

This game is AMAZING! I was amazed by how in-depth the CLI was, although I was never quite able to prevent the PC from rebooting every three minutes (I'm pretty sure I got close, though). Good job!

@todd-mitchell I'll have to investigate that, thanks for the additional info

What a wonderful game! I was able to finish it, I liked the plot twist :) Suddenly, you're not fixing a rebooting machine, but instead, well, spoilers! I loved PC sounds, it really adds to the atmosphere, well done! As was mentioned earlier, CLI implemented really well. One thing I miss from the real CLI is the command history (and up/down arrows for navigation) - but it works just fine without it.

As a heavy Linux user, I loved it. I really did not expect this kind of ending. Along with the the restart loop, it evoked a surprising feeling of urgency.

As others mentioned, I missed the up arrow, since writing the same commands got a bit tedious after a while.
I liked the sounds - minimalistic, while still setting the mood well.

Also, I can confirm that it froze for me on `webcam park` (I'm currently on Windows 10, using Firefox 81.0.1).

Overall, great job, this entry is probably my favorite so far.
By the way, I enjoyed reading the forum posts, some of them were creepily accurate

Windows 10
Firefox - freezes
Chrome + Edge - entire tab freezes with audio ticks.

@Zypo @mvasko2 @todd-mitchell was it just park that caused the freeze?

@rustywolf That was the only cam I got to try during my play session. That caused the application to hang and the sound even started repeating. I think the whole browser was frozen up. I couldn't tell if it was somehow intentional.

This is so well done! Perfect execution of the theme and the typing sounds are so satisfying!

Ah - nvm... I just didn't wait long enough - eventually the 'webcams' showed up :) ... so...
I LOVED this game! The story was excellent! The rebooting system was annoying - I wish it were just a story element, and let me continue from where I was. I would DEFINITELY play a sequel!

Cool game! I would like to see more direction provided to the player on how to go about fixing things. I do a lot of debugging in terminals for work and this felt a little too similar to work for me to be hooked. Also, using standard linux commands where possible (or offering multiple commands per action) might make it easier to get into for people with terminal experience and not any harder for anyone else. Learning syntax is hard! Impressive game for such a short jam.

Really cool, well executed game. Was not able to finish, yet. Will try again later, hope to find some hints in the comments ;)

Really enjoyed this! Mine also froze for a while before the park webcam loaded, but it got there eventually (windows 10, firefox 81.0.1). Great job!

Oh this is such a niche game ! I really enjoyed it. I'm imagining what a tough job programming it has been ! I couldnt get far but I almost got how it worked. Password didnt work for me tho :( but overall such a cool game good job !

Beat it! Very contentrich for jam game!
Nice work on parser, brings back memeories. BUT! Up arrow! To restore last command, I do it almost instinctevly and it doesn't work :(
Also: all webcam commands freezes my videooutput for about 5-7 seconds - it actually goes outside of the game - my video playback on second monitor also freezes(yet everything else still works fine).

(also in secret forums sometime port is listed incorrectly with :80 instead of right one)

This is one of my favorite games from this jam so far. I like these kind of games, that you can play through in just a few seconds, but because you know nothing, it's gonna take you way longer. It took me about half an hour to beat this, but it was really good. My only issue is the slightly delayed button-press-sound, and the fact that it takes about ten seconds for webcams to load.

OMG my favorite game of the jam by far.. I don't know if you meant to have typo's to throw off the user but as @steambrain has said.. the port is wrong on one of the links.. No sweat tho.. You can figure that out pretty easy.. The last series of commands got me messed up for a while.. Tricky tricky you ;) hahah.. I did have one little bug when accessing the Park webcam.. The sound got stuck on a loop and it froze up a bit but it sorted itself out.. (maybe on reboot).. I gave all 5's and if there was more I'd tack them on as well.. I cant give enough praise.. Such a simple game but the polish and gameplay loop is incredible.. I enjoyed very very much.

Edit: I ofc want my game to win, but if it doesn't i'll be angered not to see this one there instead :D <3

Hahah program "calc 10/0" make crash LoopOS. Doesn't handle 0 division.

Awesome game ! Probably my favorite one !

Very nice, really interesting take on the loop theme.
The puzzle unfolded really nicely, looking through all the different forums and sites to get information, always with the update time in the background. It all worked really well. I also really appreciated the way you designed the puzzles to not require repetition of steps, and be able to skip to the later parts of the puzzle once you know what to do so as to make the update loop less frustrating.

It would have been nice if the text editor was a little more feature complete, with a cursor for editing strings, and being able to press up to copy the last sent message. As someone who has a fair bit of experience using command line text editors, I found myself automatically trying to use this functionality a fair bit, and it was kind of jarring when it did nothing.
Also, the twist was a little contrived, but that's probably just me.

Really well done, congrats.

@chao writing is not my forte haha. And yeah, I felt those too, but alas time was unforgiving and something had to give.

Is the game supposed to end without stopping the loop? I got the "Congratulations" and then the system immediately rebooted again. Should I keep playing, or was that it?

It's really well done by the way. Very enjoyable to search through a system to figure out what's going on. Great job!
