AXI AND THE BIG FALL by Beelzeboss

[raw]
made by Beelzeboss for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

pic1.png Solve digital circuit logic to keep AXI alive and save it.

WASD - Move
E - Interact
Esc - Pause
Anything - Bugs

Had fun making the logic for the puzzles, but I mostly forgot about the theme and didn't really have any idea how to tie things together. The puzzles are pretty hard i think (i deleted the solutions and was havin alot of trouble solving them, was to lazy to rework them to be easier). Im not really happy with how thing turned out, but hey another finished jam. :)

I have to say that graphics, even tough they are bad, make your game very funny. The intro is godlike. Gameplay is buggy as you said but fuctional and the puzzles are very interesting, altough I can't clear the 3rd one o-o'. I really like the music, good job on that :D The fps controls are very sharp and feel good, but i could see my mouse and that was disturbing... You should add a bit of movement to your scene, it looks very stiff right now. Also I can't exit a puzzle. Add depth to your scene, right now it looks flat... maybe add a cliff around the big pink thingy, and fix the few bugs that compromise gameplay, I guarantee you that your gameplay mechanic is very interesting, maybe make it more accessible because I don't think everyone knows about bits and logic gates..
Great game :D

Great puzzle concept! Maybe add a tutorial screen with a brief explanation of each logic gate in case players don't know / forgot how each one works.

Great puzzle. Ready-made prototype of the gameplay part of the games like a portal, etc.

I really liked the idea, the puzzle mechanic was also really cool I thought. It is definitely an idea you can expand upon I believe! Great work :D

Instead of doing what was suppose to be doing, i was just wandering and jaming to music and appreciating the artwork. Really enjoyed the mood it gave.

Spend more time to scribble on sheets of paper than on game. The music is good, it helps to focus. But the code on the right side doesn't work for me :/ And a button to reset the level will be great !

Oh man.

I like the idea, but it could definitely use some polish and instructions.

I figured out the first circuit once I realized what I was looking at, but the others made no sense. I didn't catch how the inputs could be combined to get the final result. Maybe I also just *didn't realize* I could combine them in certain ways, thinking back on it.

**FOR USERS EXPIERIENCING A PERMISSION-LOCKED FILE UPON EXPORTING THIS GAME FROM 7ZIP, USE EMCO'S UnLock IT TO DELETE IT**

I don't know if this was caused by the compiler for your game or 7Zip, but yeah, the file got permission locked on my computer and I couldn't delete it until I found UnLock IT. I highly doubt it's your game that caused that, so I wouldn't worry about it.

It's not a bad game, I like the visual style and graphics, but I really don't get the puzzles. The hardness isn't a problem, but the lack of a tutorial. The idea is cool

Hi, it's a nice game, I survived only two puzzles :P but it's a fun game. The game makes you think and that's cool. The music a super good. I really like the intro :)

Initally I had no idea what I was doing, so a short puzzle explanation or a tutorial of sorts would have been nice, but otherwise a nice little puzzle game, lovely colorful tones!

Not bad, a very good job for only one person.
