but i didnt like that you had to sometimes guess where you need fall in order to land on a platform because the platform is offscreen
also that you have to wait on a button and if you dont make the jump in the 2 trys you have to stand on it again
music could be more hectic
Looks and feels great. Love the art!
Cheers!
Nicely done!
Here are my feedback:
_Positive points
- The pixel art is quite good
- The ghost players feature is really cool
- It is challenging, the timer adds a great tension
_Negative points
- The box collider of the player seems to be a bit too big, indeed, sometimes I didn't touch the pikes but the game killed me
- The character slides a bit too much after stop walking, so it gave imprecision to the gameplay
Overall: nice work!
I would recommend balancing movement and difficulty a bit.
The movement has a lot of acceleration and very little damping.
Also probably would be a good idea to have first levels sort of tutorial and not so crazy right away.
Nice work
@oleksandr-shchavinskyi thank you for your detailed answer, a tutorial might have been a good idea ^^'
@banholio good advice, we thought about that too! ^^
@everyone thanks a lot for all the feedback and praise! I cannot answer everyone but we feel really honoured you guys took the time to comment! <3
Maybe you could rework the slippiness of the character a little, but other than that a very solid entry!
I like the mood and 【aesthetic】, would be cool if the music didn't restart every time you die!
I would love to see this evolve into a more complete thing - and to join the ranks of celeste and VVVVV!
