StuckyLoop by ownedstuff
StuckyLoop is a game where the only way to go is forward. Dodge through fans/bars and laser to get as far as you can! Be sure to grab a couple powerUps from the shop when you die, it'll make the next run much easier. The game is endless so you can play as much as you want. Actual content in the form of new pipes and increased difficulty has been implemented up to distance 5000. We do plan on adding much more post-jam.
The development was pretty smooth compared to other jams we've done. Experience taught us to keep the scope small so we liked the idea of a game that would be basically in a playble state from the first hour. We started by making a pipe manager that could spawn an endless amount of pipes. we only needed to create one pipe and slap the default unity character controller on a capsule to have a basicaly "playable" game. Then we worked on adding a couple different pipes, and a collision system. Later in the development we added the shop interface and then we added a level mechanic where after X distance new pipes would show up.
The whole development cycle went as smoothly as it possibly could right up until the very end. 1 hour before the submission we realised that the game would play just fine in the unity editor but nothing would show up in the final build. It took a while to figure out an obscure bug with scriptable object and our source control solution. In the debugging process we turned off the fog that you can see in the screenshots and forgot to turn it back on before we posted. We'll post an updated version soon.

Controls: W - go faster S - go slower Space - Jump

Known bugs: - The additional jumps from the store do not work in the review build. - We has some build issues before submitting and as part of the debug process we deactivated the fog that you can see in the screenshots. We forgot to turn it back on before submitting.
Edit 2020/10/7 - fixed issue where jump upgrade would not give additional jumps - fixed issue where buying upgrade would overwrite previously bought upgrades - improved collision detection with obstacles when player is going really fast - added fog back into the game

But others were nice :) Coins also are hard to collect. Good job!
I did run into a few issues while playing on the web version - it was possible to jump right out of the tube of the level! I did find some of the obstacles also seemed to have strange colliders that I could pass straight through, but it seemed inconsistent as of when this happened.
Really liked the music and it felt like a perfect fit for your game. Would definitely love to have additional music in the shop to play to as well!
But overall, great game. I would like to play more.
Cheers
For collision we will do some fixes in next weeks. Well let you know if you want to try it back then hehe
Thanks for your feedback !
