balloons by Mopkoo
in this almost 3d arcade game, you control the hot-balloon of tim trying to reach the top of the sky!

This my first game jam and i'm alone so please be tolerant !
For collect the balloons, go next to them and if they're too far away (in this case they're blank) press w or s (or the joystick up and down) for get closer to them (in this case they're yellow) and tadaa , you collect a balloon !
For move Tim , use a and d and hold down space or just use back triggers for gamepad.!

Feel free to test my game ^^
Nice original mechanic, good job!
By the way, I don't think that the game works for keyboard. I"m not able to move Tim. Both A/D and Arrow keys move the balloon instead.
The graphic style is very good, I found that it looks like Paper Mario. However, it was hard for me to retrieve the balloon in the background, I don't know exactly if I could get them or not, sometimes it worked, but most of the time I couldn't take them.
But, overall, nice work, moreover, I think that if you fix the issue with the depth, it will improve the game easily !
The 3D is a little bit confusing and the tutorial is too slow. I don't know how you manage the apparition of ballon, but sometimes I don't have any ballon left on the screen.

and then got struck by boredom.
The controls could use tweaking. Moving Tim with the arrow keys and filling the balloon with the up arrow would have been much more intuitive. This kind of a dual stick scheme would work on a pad too.
I would also suggest pulling the camera back (rendering everything smaller), adding in some obstacles to avoid (birds, hovering platforms, mines, what have you!) and reducing the hot air balloon resource drain accordingly.
Yeah, pretty ok job in all.
As others have commented, the control scheme for keyboard is a bit weird. Holding space to move Tim is not comfortable and I would prefer using Q and E or arrow keys. Great job anyway!
