GREAT WORK!
Bonus for the music which is very very good :p
I really enjoy your game !
The audio mixed up the graphism are very good, I like them.
The story is pretty short but fun enough to replay it many times !
The choice of the controls are sometimes troubling (choose between dash and item are sometimes pretty hard)
Overall good one !
Thanks for making this game :)
I had a lot of fun playing till the end, does the monster actually run away from you in the end?! feels so good.
It's real panic mode going around collecting parts and dodging while trying not to get your vehicle ruined.
The idea is really cool, and it fits perfectly to the theme.
The animated sprites are adorably funny, great animation skills. they are fun to look at.
also, nice job making a tutorial! I never have time to get one in. (btw, the mouse in the tutorial screen makes it really hard to click on things cause it moves around so much, I didn't feel the same problem in the main level)
Overall I really like it, great entry I hope you get high scores!
Does the enemy regenerate Life? I had to stop hunting the enemy when it was wounded and running away and build a new car. After a while it got back to attacking.
This game has such a nice dynamic of building your war machine in a hurry, then strategically dodging away and getting back to it.
The only problem I can point out is that short range weapons have no use, because as soon as you have enough wheels, you can just roll around the beast and never approach it. I also found very little use of the quick vehicle, because you always want to start building your final vehicle as fast as possible and there is no immediate danger that prevents you from doing so.
So once again, this game is a pure joy to play. Hope you'll expand further on that concept of dancing around your transport device, doing something and gracefully avoiding danger, in the future.
One time my game crashed (did not manage to get crash report, sorry) when I tried to do something next to spaceman NPC.
Great music, fits the game well and graphics look lovely. The gameplay is for sure more complex than average, good job there!
Jesus... how much health did that have? I couldn't add a 3rd gun (might just have been me) but 2 guns took a long time to kill it. Maybe I should've got daring and tried ramming it with my saw :stuck_out_tongue:
Overall - once I'd figured out how to build a working vehicle without being killed - it was super fun and interesting to play and with fantastic music and graphics to boot :grinning:
As I alluded to earlier, the initial 'grasping' of the mechanics was very difficult and I think it was mostly down to the wobbly camera movement as it made it quite hard to pick things up.... assuming I had to actually click them? In a tense situation with a spiky, tentacle-y giant beast following me around may have fried my brain a little
Anyway, to put it simply... this is a great idea for a game! Really nails the theme!
Great job to the both of you
