This is my submission for Ludum Dare 46: Keep it alive!

You control some dude's immune system and have to defend his heart against two threats at the same time, for as long as you can.

How to play:

  • Mouse = Move cells.

  • White cell destroys white invaders. Black cell destroys black invaders.

  • Touch invader with wrong colored cell = Lose.

  • The browser game also works on some phones. It ran perfectly on a Samsung J7 and didn't run at all on an iPhone X, Moto G 2014 and iPad 5th generation. Please let me know if it worked for you!

2 player co-op:

  • IJKL = Move white cell.

  • WASD = Move black cell.

  • The mode is also supposedly controller compatible.

Good job! Really like the mechanics of it. Art and sounds are pretty great too! Ran smoothly in the browser on both my PC and mobile (one+ 3T). Would say the difficulty curve is quite steep but that might just be me being bad at it. Well done :D

Pretty well done across the board! My High-score is 50.

I ran across some unfair situations in which I was essentially guaranteed to hit the wrong bubble with the mirror when trying to hit the correct one.

@curleyrach Thanks for letting me know it worked on your phone! I difficulty curve is a bit steep but it stops getting harder very fast. I guess I just didn't notice after playtesting for so long.

@ssstormy I knew it was possible for these unfair setups to happen but I didn't come across them very often during play-through, so I didn't do anything to avoid them. Bummer it happened to you.

I'm going to play you guys' games once ratings are turned on ok?

Really cool concept and overall really fun. I wish it didn't have to go to the start screen every loss because it got a little annoying having to wait for the animation and then click play again, aside from that, great idea and good job!

The single player was fun and quite stressful at times, i wish i had a friend to play the co-op though.

@n-o-games @rickzyyt Thanks! I didn't really expect people to play the game for more than like two rounds. xP

This is awesome! I really love the style and music, and the gameplay is difficult but really rewarding once you start to get the hang of it. I also love that it has co-op support built in, thats a really nice extra touch,

Cute! I thought the smooth visuals flowed real well. Wish there was more to play! I will admit I found the co-op feature to seem a bit unnecessary, seeing as the controls with the mouse are the biggest focus (and where the challenge comes in most when trying to collect on one side and dodge with the other). Either way, good game!

@fever-dream-johnny Thanks! To be honest, I only added the co-op feature because it would be extremely easy to implement, so I saw no reason not to add that little bit of extra content. I know the game doesn´t have a lot to offer, but that was kind of intentional. I´m still new to Ludum Dare and last time I got too carried away with the scope, so this time I wanted to make something that was more achievable.

This game is awesome! I really liked the whole idea and the controls. It's hard to control the dark cell (using mouse), but it's very fun to play!

Very fun game. I really like the idea and the fact that you can play the game on your phone.

Really loved that mechanic. Finally something fresh and innovativ. For my taste a bit to obvious interpretation of the theme, but liked the juice and gamefeel and the feedback for hitting an enemy. Really tricky game, the more i played the more fun i had figuring out how to control properly. I liked it

Very nice work, it took me some time to get used to controlling the black ball but i had a lot of fun playing :)

Fun, well made, I also loved the mechanics and the overall feel. It was harder for me to aim with the black one which I think it should be normal since it's the mirror one. Great game!

That's an amazing game. I got to 32 in solo and moving the black one in the opposite direction of the mouse really messes with my brain haha!
And as mentioned before, being able to restart quicker without the animation would be great.

我喜欢这个主题和动画形式!似乎随着难度的进展,操作起来也更有趣味性,很棒的作品!

A simple, yet fun little game. It's hard to aim with the black ball, but that's what brings most of the fun !

@pomelouncia Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I'm not able to rate your game because it's Windows-only and crashes on Wine. I usually play people's games in return when they comment on mine, but I hope you understand. :T

It's the sort of game that seems like it would be simple, but is actually hard in an addicting sort of way. Neat idea!

Great idea, great entry, this 1 player concept is too hard for my little brain tho, not your fault, really good job.

This games is quite fun. It's a simple concept, but it does wonders for the gameplay. The graphics are nice and squishy. The game is a bit on the hard end and the black ball is quite difficult to control in the mouse version. However besides that, it's a well made game built around an effective mechanic.

Very nice concept, I love the mechanics and had quite a lot of fun with it (even if my highscore is only 16). I feel that difficulty could ramp up a bit slower, but all in all, awesome cute little game!

Keep up the good work people!

Super difficult at first (and I gave up for the key controls because my brain is not made for that). After a few games I got better with the mouse control and I think I could still improve the more I play.
It's true that the difficulty ramp up pretty fast and maybe I would balance that.
Overall, I like the challenge. Simple and intuitive gameplay with nice graphics. Nice!
