Description

Safely navigate the galaxy by utilizing the largest amount of nothing in the universe: the vacuum of space! Depending on your choices throughout the game, there are 5 different endings!

As the Door Administration Locus (DAL), your purpose is to manage the doors on board a crucial Federation ship. Unfortunately for you, door AIs tend to have a poor reputation of becoming self-aware and killing the inhabitants of their ships. Open doors to the outside of the ship to let the oxygen out. This will put out fires and kill plant life, but also harm crew members.

Balance the ship's Health meter and the crew's Suspicion meter while defeating threats to the mission's success. Beware, if the crew thinks you are attempting to kill them they will attempt to shut you off! The only way to shut you down is if one of the crew walks over to and accesses your terminal in the bottom-right of the ship. Lock the control room door to stall for time!

Controls

Left Click: Open/Close Door

Right Click: Lock/Unlock Door - The crew must break down locked doors, rather than just walking through them

Z - Open All Doors

X - Close All Doors

C - Lock All Doors

V - Unlock All Doors

Enter - Skip Text

Good Luck! The Federation is counting on you!

This was fun, I really enjoyed hunting for all the alternate endings! I do wish that skipping text with enter was faster though, it was still a bit of a pain to restart each time. Also, really nice job on the parallax for the stars, it looks great.

Fantastic idea, and I love the resemblance to FTL. But at the moment, for me, the difficulty is way too hard from the beginning.

Very good game! I believe the main point to improve is the difficulty curve. It should start more slow, letting the player the chance to play with the mechanics. I also liked the raw javascript style.

FTL inspiration is very clear, altough i think that being AI on a spaceship could have its own space in games(A space oddysey). Had great time, maybe some rules needs to be told more implicitly(crew can open doors even if they are locked if they have enough time), and maybe some other system of destroying fungus(fire kills it?) to create more tension in strategic decissions. Propably even some more explenetion would be great for whole Suspicion system(even in few games i didnt get it when its getting up)

If the humans were programmed to seek out healthy parts of the ship rather than stand in areas that have depleted oxygen and are on fire, or if the player had tools (other than opening and closing doors) to account for suicidal humans, then this could have been a fun game I guess?

That is an awesome concept! I agree that the human AI (out-of-universe, not in-universe, haha) is a bit counterproducive, but I played a solid 30 minutes of it!

Good homage to FTL, and some funny dialogue. I found it very hard, and a little frustrating when the guys wouldn't go where I wanted, but it was a very neat idea. Music is good too.

This was really difficult to control and balance. The humans don't know how to evacuate a room with fungus, so I can't even lock any doors until it's safe. And both the fungus and the oxygen letting out are making them suspicious. How do I survive here!

Neat game. I like the idea here. I kept dying too early on to explore the full story though. Maybe a walkthrough video?

Also, this slightly offended me the first time lol

Very nice game but for me it was a bit too difficult. Crew is not evacuating when there is fire or fungus so they shut me while trying to protect them  I barely managed to make it to the end once and I wanted to see the different endings... .-. Maybe a key for opening only the inner doors could make it easier. Dialogues are very interesting and funny! Good job!

Amazing game! A refreshing mechanic and quite the challenge, especially since you can't control the crew members' movements. I made it about three fourths of the way to the end, but my failure didn't stop me from having a lot of fun. Great job!

Great game, it might have some difficulty/balance issues but otherwise it was super well executed. I liked the humor and mood too.

This is great! I'd suggest making restarting the game a little quicker as failure is quite frequent and waiting around for it to start again is a little tedious :stuck_out_tongue: I did find the people kept opening my locked doors though, which I'm unsure if I'm missing something, but it aint helping the struggle to keep them alive.

I tried to rate this before the time was up, but I don't think I managed it in time, so I'm sorry if you don't get your results :frowning2:

Great, it's as stressful as in FTL haha
