The intention was to leave one tentacle processing whilst the others get the next things ready. Sort of like juggling but with tentacles and fish
By the way, in tutorial, the game covers parts of the instructions.
Until level 4 where I realized this was indeed made for some non-human species of gamer that can juggle multiple things at once.
Overall a really fun experience but it needs some work on the balance. There was a lot of waiting for plates to arrive which made it impossible to feed some customers in time, but I guess that's my fault since I could always increase the rate at which I made plates.
One thing that could easily be improved is the system for changing tentacles. Maybe color code each tentacle and bind them to specific keys to make it easier. I found it difficult to select the right tentacle since they all looked the same when overlayed and cycling quickly through each one was awkward and imprecise.
Lil problem with the button in the tutorial it seems to appear in the wrong place.
Otherwise I couldn't find a fault
Well done overall
Good job
This game is really different, it's a really hard game but when you get the commands it's great, love the humor!
While playing, I thought it would be awesome if we could "program" the tentacles, pressing a button to start recording, then again to stop recording. The tentacle would then loop (one more for the theme!) through the script and all you have to do with the last tentacle is to create the dishes depending on the requests and serve! That would be awesome.
Great entry, hope you keep working on it!
The Controlls are working suprisingly well and the flow is really cool.
The Graphics are really cool and especially such a good Tutorial for a LD is awesome.
Well Done great work.
This was a super neat entry! I do think that maybe there's a *bit* too much going on all at once sometimes, but at the same time I think it adds to that chaotic "Overcooked" energy that it seems like you were going for. I think with a bit more polish and playtesting, this could make for a super fun party game to maybe play with friends!
