my screen is just black and I see blue sprites everywhere, then out. of nowhere i die. maybe im dumb or it isn't working as intended

The concept is nice, but the almost full darkness makes the game indeed very difficult. I aimed for the lighter spots and managed to reach some platforms, but the enemies quickly hit me and made it all dark again. It's probably just a matter of balance, having an area a little lighter around the character, and maybe having the lights respawn after a while, so that the player is not stuck in the dark. Otherwise the controls work fine and it fits the theme perfectly :)

Collected enough light to see, but found it a bit easy to die from banging head on platform above which put me off playing further. Maybe look into Unity's platform script that stops player from colliding from underneath to make the jumps feel fairer.
