Proto Game by Daniel Morgan

[raw]
made by Daniel Morgan for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

This is a remake of the original game I posted for the compo.

You play as proto the courier of the last plant on post-apocalyptic Earth. Mother Earth decides she has had enough punishment from humans and sets out to kill the last plant.

Proto is an endless runner which means that there is no win condition and you compete for score.

I think there should be a skip cinematic option in case someone wants wants to jump straight into the action or if someone tries to play it again and they have already seen this.

I got stuck in place ![Capture.PNG](///raw/d2d/6/z/32ec6.png). I ended up having to completely restart to get unstuck. Preventing this from happening would create a better experience.

Having the score visible while playing would be good so that the player has knows if they are getting close to beating their previous score.

Sometimes the randomly generated levels make it impossible to continue (like, if one platform is directly above another and not high enough to squeeze your character in between). But the art and sound are cute.

I really appreciated the breadth of work that went into this. You have solid and cohesive graphics, music, sound effects, voice acting, cool intro animations. The platforming itself was a little lackluster, the controls felt like they had latency and were mushy.
